With a lot of third party Switch 2 releases being Game Key Cards, the software charts will get increasingly less reflective of real-world sales as time goes on; rising digital ratios on all consoles were already doing this, but the effect should accelerate now as Switch 2 grows.

Game key cards will count to Famitsu as long they are sold at retail

Oh I know they count, what I meant was that I can see consumers being less enthusiastic about buying key cards compared to proper physical releases, leading to a higher digital ratio.

While keycards may not be as great as a traditional physical, they are better than digital dl, as they can be traded and or sold if desired. So the value is different as opposed to outright digital.

I get that they do offer some advantages, I just suspect a lot of consumers will see them as just digital with extra steps and opt to just download the game from home rather than to out to a store for a game key.

Seems many Japanese stores have now opened up for in store sales of the Switch 2. Maybe Japan actually got bigger stock this week compared to last week, if so next week's Famitsu numbers will be higher than 150K.

So it is worse for third party, the cards are expensive and the game key ones can be traded and potentially lose money...

Anyway you get stuff like Raidou Remastered, the switch 1 version is physical and the switch 2 better version is on a game key card.

The number of games coming to Switch 1 also that I decided to prefer buying it's physical edition over the Switch 2 Edition just because of that ...

I'll take the trade in personally.
