While keycards may not be as great as a traditional physical, they are better than digital dl, as they can be traded and or sold if desired. So the value is different as opposed to outright digital.

So it is worse for third party, the cards are expensive and the game key ones can be traded and potentially lose money...

Anyway you get stuff like Raidou Remastered, the switch 1 version is physical and the switch 2 better version is on a game key card.
