Gamepass for me, not spending £70.
So far enjoying it, but do find the dragon and mech sequences an absolute chore lol
Steam numbers are quite low, 30,812 peak concurrent compared to eternal 104,981 5 years ago.

Eternal Tbf didn't launch into Game Pass and launched near the start of lockdowns.
There may be a bit of franchise fatigue and reluctance due to price as well, the latter is an easy fix though, Steam has sales constantly, Lol. It'll sell fine Imo in the long run, I'm sure it will have decent sale legs and good engagement on Game Pass, may not hit the highs of Eternal if there's a bit of franchise fatigue but it will still be a modest success.
I'm still busy with Oblivion, otherwise I'd have been there day one, still haven't touched it, I wonder how many others are still busy with Oblivion/E33, etc. It has been an extremely busy few weeks and maybe it has finally backfired a little to not spread out more evenly. But I feel like Dark Ages always had less hype than Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, I think a combination of franchise fatigue, a few considering Eternal to be worse than Doom 2016 and Dark Ages being a prequel when they've already closed the story on Doom via The Ancient Gods.
I loved both Dooms but I think Doom 2016 is better than Eternal and I'm not hugely into prequels either so I will admit my hype was "lesser" for The Dark Ages than it was for Doom 2016 and Eternal and I wish they revived Quake instead of making another Doom but I won't complain that much because I still love Doom and lesser hype doesn't mean no hype, I was still excited, Lol. It's just like I'd rather they did something else now.
As always though, CCU tells us only half of the picture and sometimes not even half, Lol.
