Graphic performance aside, am I the only one who thinks the trailer is too safe? Maybe it's because of the expectations, maybe it's because the dynamic between the three GTA V protagonists looked better than the GTA VI ones, but it really feels weaker than the original GTA V trailers.

Me too. I've been wondering if they'd go super safe and they have. I didn't think they'd go this safe, they are crafting this game for the kids and GTA online sadly. Is the best they can vome up with is an everyday conversation like "seriously dude, you got time on your hands" and "hey...hey" and "ring the bells" "if we are doing this we are doing it right". "You and me, we got this". "Vice cityyyy babyyy" and "hey" again.

You can tell the writing team from RDR2 and GTA V is gone.

I have zero faith in this game, I'll probably play it to see the graphics and do some GTA stuff at that fidelity but I doubt I'll be there for the story. Zero soul. Zero levity. Really bad VA too, sounds phoned in, the GTA V actors had incredible range and spoke with an exaggerated personality that they became larger than life. These protagonists sound like every day American 20 somethings.

Give us that 40 FPS option Rockstar!!

Gonna be honest and say i think you guys are trying really hard to find something to complain about.

Disagree with all points you made across the board. they nailed it.

Looks great visually. But I'm not seeing much else to be excited about yet.

Mission structure and world progression probably still stuck in a dated PS2 formula. Why I don't get the hype.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

It certainly doesn't feel like Natural Born Killers or True Romance material, more like a TikTok Bonny and Clyde.

You can already see the game is made for streaming and short videos to advertise itself. This is no GTA 4 story which would be a lot more relevant today, dodging ICE and MAGA etc. Yeah it does feel very safe with everything that is and has been going on.

Maybe there's still some satire in the radio stations or random comedy along the way. This looks at most to be a caricature of yesterday rather than the nihilistic satire GTA became known for.

It's pretty, it's open world mayhem, it will sell well for the next decade. The game is too big to risk pissing certain groups off, it has to be safe. Mild caricature instead of satirical parody.

Looks fantastic

Hopefully final product performance is good on PS5 since I plan to get it there first.

And yes, will be day 1.

my guess is that Rockstar is holding back info until closer to launch.

Holy shit are some of you leaping to conclusions mighty fast...let this fucking thing cook, will ya?

Nice upgrades over the last trailer. Already looked impressive, now it looks stunning. I hope an SFM like proper cinema mode gets released; I'd love to mess around and tell some stories with all these assets.

I can't get over how real this shot in particular looks:

I expect the next we'll see of this game will be a gameplay feature next spring, perhaps with a smaller but final delay of a month or three.
