Nintendo fan since I got an SNES for Christmas in 1994, but game on all three console platforms plus occasionally PC.

For the last few years I've been like 60% Nintendo Switch, 20% PS4/5, 20% retro consoles, but for this year so far I've been trying to clean up my backlog before Switch 2 hits so it's been like 40% Switch, 40% Xbox 360, and 20% Wii/OG Xbox.

70% Nintendo, 25% PS1, 5% retro on obscure platforms.

That's cool, a lot of people are moving back to older systems. Couldn't go wrong buying a PS2 with back compat and building a library of all those niche gems without a dam subscription fee for a limited supply.

I have a sizable N64 collection but my last console finally bit the dust several years ago. I’m thinking about getting the Analogue 3D. Built in memory pak, transfer pak, compatible with all original controllers and accessories, and the modern N64 controller from 8bitdo make it a very tempting proposal!

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

I probably would’ve changed MS gamer to Xbox gamer. But yeah, Nintendo gamer for the most part.

I'm probably 70% Xbox, 10% PlayStation, 20% Nintendo, over the last several years. That's because I only play exclusives on PlayStation and Nintendo systems. But, when I have one of those exclusives that I'm really into, I might be something like 90% PlayStation or 80% Nintendo in a given month.

100% steam atm, but grew up with xbox, ps and nintendo

Nice to see people keeping it alive. A real pity it didn't catch like PSVR or Quest 3.

There is an active community, see r/psvr https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/new/

But I doubt PSVR2 has crossed 2 million sales yet, it's definitely behind PSVR1.

About 200K people have now tried RE4 on PSVR2, while RE7 reached 1.25 million PSVR1 players. Unfortunately there's no data on RE8, which I assume is higher than RE4 since RE8 was a launch window game like RE7 for PSVR1. (It's also a better VR implementation, and was already available cheaper)

The numbers aren't great. Hitman WoA is awesome in VR though, despite it not using the OLED nor HDR. (It's color graded like a PS3 game with limited RGB range, looks 'washed out' in the headset) However standing on the tower in Dubai and looking dozens of stories down through the glass floor, that just doesn't translate on a screen!

Hitman has become more of a vacation destination than a game. I spend 2 to 3 hours (3 nights) exploring each level completely before killing anyone. And then my preferred method is throw a screw driver for instant kill. I haven't fired a weapon since the tutorial. You have two hands in VR, you can knock 2 people out before reloading your hands. Most things will do, even a folded up newspaper can knock people out, 47 has a wicked throwing arm!

I have lots of games lined up to play on PSVR2. It's impossible to keep up with releases with only 1 hour play time a day, and that's only buying the good stuff. For the maybe 2 million user base it's very well supported.

Anyway it's a great way to unwind from the day, escape to Dubai again tonight :)

PSVR without Parole and Polish Paul I see on YouTube are hanging on, lower numbers than the PSVR days but still chugging along.

I think I've decided on not getting one for now but who knows when the ramp up to Christmas shopping happens, one for half price might sneak into the house...accidentally.

Good luck in Dubai 👋 Say hello to the Locals (or kill them) and don't get sunburnt :)

Nah, I did the company names incase people are playing older systems like someone here is playing PS1 25% of the time. Also game pass is on my TV where I can pay for the games to be streamed to if I bought an X1 controller and apparently now it's on mobile phones too, Also people can be on PC and be entirely MS gamers.

I have found it very difficult to get a working PS1 and my God is it hard to keep a NES alive and accepting carts, I can only imagine how bad it is for N64, corrosion and all. At least those blavk disc on Ps1 might need a wipe but they keep in almost all conditions.

I hate making random suggestions and making assumptions but put down the backlog for now, if you are a life long Nintendo gamer and have been there for the turn based RPGs, FF to Mario... go buy Clair Obscur Expedition 33 right away. Drop everything else an play it. Thank me later for the immense joy it'll bring you.

I have consoles and games from the 80s on up to modern day. Also some clone systems for Genesis/SNES and a Polymega. Tho I have the original hardware as well.

That said I don't know what any video game system is outside of a Mattel Hyperscan and an R Zone.
