Forums - Nintendo - FAST Fusion first look; sequel to FAST RMX, releasing on Switch launch day

Excellent news on the price, I was expecting something like $30. Though Fast RMX was $20 so being cheaper than that... I wonder if it has a little less content.

Will be getting it.

Oh, nice price. I'd buy this on PS5 no bother, I don't even need to look past a glance, hope it gets a port.

Unlikely. It's 5 people making it. RMX didn't get a port to anything outside Switch. All the FAST series have stayed on Nintendo systems.

Shin'en put so much effort into their games. Their games look awesome AND have a small storage size. They already hit 1080p60 on Wii U with FAST Racing Neo.

Now they are able to offer 4 player split screen with 60fps. It's getting embarrassing for Nintendo, when Mario Kart World only has 30fps (again) in 4 player split screen.

I don't think Nintendo need to worry with Mario Kart World looking a thousand times more playable than this and that is my issue with these games I don't like them personally and neither did I like the similar Wipeout series, its not a type of racing game I enjoy. However I love Nano Assault and really enjoyed that game which I think is one of theirs but admit I haven't checked. It looked fantastic on wii u and played brilliantly. Graphically Shin-en does amazing work whether you like the playability or not they are brilliant coders.

Just downloaded it and took it for a spin!

First off, it controls way better than RMX. I enjoyed that game, but in Fusion vehicle handling immediately feels smoother, easier, and more intuitive.

Visually it's stunning; it's clearly using reconstruction so don't expect native 4K clarity, but overall it's very pretty with rich lighting and a silky framerate.

So far so good!

A free update on the 26th will add three new tracks and a new mode called Pure that disables upsampling/reprojection for a sharper picture
