Please do not comment on your life circumstances, financial situation or any personal details outside of strictly game related expenses. A simple yes or no and perhaps a comment on how little or much the expense of games against the cost of living effects you, that much would suffice. I don't wanna be responsible for a thread where someone gives up any personal info and people should be smart with that but I'm really interested in the answers to this question from what appears to be a core and enthusiast group of gamers.

There are very specific games I buy on Day 1 but most of them I skip and wait to buy them in another opportunity. Even if I bought evey game I wanted, I woudln't have time to play them

I buy most games on sale. Not because I can't, but I have dozens of games I haven't touched. So I only buy games at full price if it's a must play game that I would jump ahead of the Que, or a launch game with a new system.

I have a huge backlog and little time to play, and absolutely don't mind playing years after release so I pick up practically all games on sale, except if it's sequels to my favorite series.

Money isn't the issue, time to play is. As well as not feeling good to overpay for stuff no matter that I can afford it
I still buy games day 1 even though I don't play most until many months sometimes years later.

Once its on my Wishlist ill buy it eventually. Rarely I get rid of stuff on Wishlist, maybe if I buy a game and I didnt like it and the sequel is on wishlist, ill remove that for example, but this rarely happens.

Tend to buy on some sort of sale tho, especially on steam.
Nintendo games i just buy when they come out, they basically dont go on sale physically anyway.
