That's a different game, and this is a Nintendo fan-heavy website, so having anecdotal evidence in a biased site isn't stating any facts on an opinion (and a wrong one) about a different game.

Well, it's gotta be hard for Nintendo to make new versions without them feeling incremental. How many titles are there? And then throw in the fact that gen-leaps are smaller than the width of a human hair and... yeah.

But I'm sure for those who are young, or have less experience like I do, this game is going to be amazing.

Some of the roads are very pretty on sonic, I can see lot of details, lot of stuff going on, but thats it... look cool its not the same to have fun while playing. Mario Kart has both and I'll stick to it

The anticipation for this game must be so great. IGN has an exclusive first look, couldn't even be bothered to upload it in 4K or 60fps.

That sonic game looks kinda clunky. I don't think it is even valid competition for Mario Kart.

I have played the closed beta, the game is actually quite fun, it has a lot of variety in items and you can make your own builds with different gadgets combinations that change how you approach the races, there is quite a bit going on for it. The cars part combinations changed to little the stats to matter tho, IMO.

So there is more than you are seeing.

That being said, Mario Kart World presentation looked quite good, like Mario Kart 8, but I dunno how things will go with 24 players now, and the biggest issue with Sonic Racing Crossworlds, to me at least, was the huge ammount of items going on everytime when you are in the leading spots, which made winning hard to a casual.

I noticed that too, Isnt like any item to counter that, a barrier or something? 

For me i like the chaotic direction that MK is going and that without even showing battle mode, which I expect some great arenas. Plus I am certain there's something hidden in world exploration that will be revealed in the direct (some missions maybe... boss battles... i can only imagine)
