I'm planning to get a Switch 2...

At launch 25 32.47%

In first 3 months 4 5.19%

At some point in 2025 8 10.39%

At some point in 2026 5 6.49%

No date in mind, but cons... 3 3.90%

No date in mind, but cons... 14 18.18%

No plans to get a Switch 2 13 16.88%

Undecided 5 6.49%

Total:77

I feel like a June release is not the best for me as i don't play a lot during the summer. So i'll probably buy it just before the MK bundle goes out. Aside from the game prices, this looks like what everyone wanted a Switch 2 to be. It will be powerful for the whole generation and will make it have third party support that looks like the competition.
I cannot waiittttt to see what they cook with this console, it will be a glorious generation.

When it can be modded :P

As early as possible, 50k yen is quite cheap. I think the price can only go up in Japan, not down.

With the way things are I wouldn't be surprised to see Switch 2 price go up everywhere in 2026.

PS5/XBSX both got price increases in many regions in 2022 so a repeat of that, and possibly worse with the way things are going, may be round the corner.

I've only had my switch for 1.5 years. I've got enough games that are made to run fine on it to last me another 1.5/2 years. Considering juggling work and gaming between marriage life. And with metroid 4 releasing, a game made for switch, following death stranding 2, mgs delta, gta6, and a few more. I can go by easily another 2 /3 years. I'll prob pick up an oled switch 2 later on.

A question about Cyberpunk. For people who generally dislike first person games, how was the experience?
I'm a giant fan of Witcher 3, but generally don't enjoy first person games, unless they are very arcadey like Goldeneye 007 (with its short, segmented levels and lack of dungeon crawling) and Umbrella Chronicles/House of the Dead style games. I've had this game (Cyberpunk) in mind as something I wanted to play for years now, but haven't really looked too deeply into it yet.

For what it's worth, I'm also a big sci-fi film and book fan.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I'd love to get it day one but I have no idea what's the pricing gonna be like in Brasil, so I'll wait for that info first. Besides, I have other priorities such as getting a new phone since my 6-year old Iphone 8 seems to be about to die. But hopefully I'll get it on Christmas this year!

So far, none of the games are really a "must buy" for me. I'm the type of person that will buy a console just for one game. Ps4 with Persona 5, Switch with Three Houses. So it ranges from maybe a year to never depending on what's coming out for it in the future.

Already preordered and paid for it.
Will be picking it up on launch day, along with Mario Kart World and as soon I get home and get on the eshop, FAST Fusion.
