Found the first sale price at 47.99 euro while checking for leaked reviews. I don't know what's going on there or why many physical copies are priced at 64.99 or less.

Anyway. Pixel arts has it a lot 9/10. Another at 4.5/5 which is a 9/10 and another at 74/100.

Looking good, I can not lie.

So did veilguard according to reviews and remember how that turned out.

Aye. I would be the first to shun Dragon Age as a once fan and I'd have done the same here to if I felt it was deserving but DA VG had legitimately bad writing and striped down lobotomised gameplay with no RPG in it. This looks to have learned from Ghost of Tsushima and mixed that with its older style of games while creating a smaller in scope but higher tier product that the last decade and a focus on what these games should be. That was deserving hate, a lot of the hate for this is just thinly veiled bigotry, I get it tbh but most of it is drummed up by people who whittle drama up for views.

I'm gonna dive into the reviews in a bit, that just dropped and find out for sure what the deal is. it's not setting the roof on fire like I imaged it would a few hours ago but it's decent and that's all they need to sell big, now if the review process has turned out well enough on the influencer side of things so there is no wave of justified hate. I'll wait for a sale myself if reviews match the score but only cause I have critically acclaimed games in my backlog but that's better cause a week ago they didn't even have me penciled in for a PS extra playthrough. Many out there are looking for a game like this, I feel and Gamers are fickle bunch remember and shear hypocrites, they'll trash something publicly while playing it privately like TLOU2 a game hated so much they all finished it.

Another slightly above average entry for AC it seems. Ubisoft are really mediocre AAA developers

The best I can say is this new AC is the first one I even know it's getting released. Online fake concerns about the main character was free marketing I guess. If only Ubisoft released a great game this could be the first AC I was playing in a while but alas, I think this will be another skip

82 isn’t too bad for AC!!…however, Xenoblade killed it, so that’s the game I’ll be purchasing on Thursday. I am a little surprise AC:S didn’t do better? Would’ve thought Ubi was going cherry-pick outlets to give an inflated score, especially noting how important this game is to Ubi’s value as they seek to sell off IP/be acquired.

88 vs 82 is not exactly "killing it" but still a good score for X considering the initial release of the game is an 84 so it's in the same ball park regardless. Also, when it comes to sales, AC: Shadows is the one that's going to be doing the killing as the Xenoblade IP is not really a big seller globally.

“killed it” not in the sense of comparison, but in a vacuum. Xenoblade killed it with an 88OC. Might be Nintendo’s most acclaimed release since Mario Wonder? (tho TTYD might be higher…it’s also sitting at an 88OC.)

I've read enough. Pretty impressed tbh. Fixes most of the issues I have with the modern formula and even tries new stuff instead of returning to the old like Mirage. It's a bit long for my liking even though they definitely have slimmed down and it's more polished for it. I like the idea of non structured story however it's no narrative masterpiece and a lot of the mechanics we seen in the run up which work and apparently sometimesnice ideas. I am still conflicted in having a tank that can't parkour but that seems to be a plus to the game. They pull back on hand holding and the graphics we not BS, they actually are that good and it runs well nor can I find complaints of image quality. Stealth gameplay is best they've pulled off, apparently but you aren't tied to it nor does it suggest story reasons for playing a certain way like Ghost of Tsuhima cause you just switch characters for the two different styles. Love that both characters are separate entities which means you get skill progression twice. They really tried here. I don't know it it's enough to resist a full scale culture war fiasco but I'm cetain now it won't flop cause the casuals and fans will be in for this one no doubt.

This is a definite first sale buy for me regardless of Ghost of Yotei unless the Youtubeers sing to a different tune. If I didn't have potential 10/10s and critically acclaimed tiles in my backlog like BG3 and KCD2 while playing a brilliant one in Unicorn Overlord, I'd be buying it tonight. Biggest concern I have is reviewers playing on PS5 pro and the base console might be compromised. Waiting on influencer now, so many have not gotten a code it looks like. I've no one in my feed that I can rely on. I'll be happy to see how the public and influencers react to this in the coming days. I hope it won't be a case of this going on sale the day Ghost of Yotei drops or I'll be waiting longer, I wouldn't be able to enjoy this straight after GoY cause it'd not be able to follow it, assuming it's as good or better than Tsushima.

I should've bet, but I didn't want to be the first one to reply. My guess would've been 82 or maybe 83, with some elaboration on the potential range. Don't read too much into it; I didn't have much information to base my guess on, so it would have been mostly intuition instead of skill anyway.

The fact Ubisoft requires online to play single-player games. IDGAF what the game is. As long as it requires that. The game is automatically garbage to me.

Oof. On consoles too? Yeah, that's pretty shit. I'd nearly follow ya on this one, I have given passes to GT7, Monster Hunter World and Doom Eternal in the past but I feel going forward I should reject these games for single player focused games. Perhaps I will but it's very hard to say no to a Granturismo game.

I thought it was looking stronger tbh, I was expecting high 80s.

@ OP. Watched a few Youtubers who got codes and saddened to say that they are split on it more than reviewers. Not as bad as Star Wars Outlaws or Veilgaurd but it's not looking like glowing recommendations are going out and the completely missed Skill Up probably out of fear. Luke Stevens did the best breakdown but it's an hour long, watched 20 minutes and he likes it and gives the general same sentiment of the the written reviews, I trust him very much. Could be a game deserving of the 8/10 mark. Still gonna grab this on sale at some point and I don't think it will flop, I think it'll sell well enough but not enough to secure Ubisoft. I'd reckon they are still pretty fucked at this moment in time.

Naoe looks fun and the japan setting and improvements in gameplay is enough for me. I preordered it, don't want Ubisoft to die either.
