No Switch 2 confirmation for Z-A it appears. Unless TPC has outright disconfirmed it, I'd give it a 45 percent chance of still happening.

Likely holding out on it until the April direct assuming there's more than one version, they could just keep it on Switch 1.

Now I'm curious if we'll see enhancements if you play Switch 1 games on Switch 2. I hope so.

Man, They really need to consider how to make Pokemon look natural as the presentation advances. Give them some damn textures or something. Shit, go with a full on Cell Shaded look.

That was Digimon World 1's battle system!!

gameplay looks like a big shift in a new direction! Curious to see how it pans out. And, as far as presentation is concerned, it looks to be significantly better than ScVi and LA, tho the art style & settings makes me a little sick. :/ They really had something great with Arceus…it’s a shame they “jumped ship” over to the ScVi style.

Let's sum this trailer up in one sentence:

This is the best advertisement Palworld could ask for.

Z-A could be a sales disappointment, it could get lost in the Switch 2 hype at release, with most of the attention going to the 3D Mario Switch 2 game, while Z-A will mostly be something core Pokemon fans will talk about and be hyped about. Will still sell very well in Japan, but i imagine in western markets it could disappoint.

Legends games are not spinoffs, they are mainline, just not a new generation.

And yes, new variations, evolutions and brand new pokémon, only a few, tho.

I guess most of the "new" mons we will have are mega, specially megas for starters, and the likely new pokémon that represents the letter A for the title, as Z is for Zygarde.

When Legends Arceus was being shown they always used the new mons to showcase it, I was adamant (pun intended) that it would be the case today as well =/

Shows you how much I know about the series even though I played so many of the games.

To think a Legend of Dragoon nerd would know stuff I dont know about Pokemon ;(

Pokémon was once my favorite franchise, after Sonic and before LoD.

It was crazy popular when I was a kid, both Pokémon and Digimon, and I still love both. Very excited for the new digimon game as well.

Bit concerned for ZA since it made it look like the entire game takes place in 1 city, which would be a huge step down from not only what Legends Arceus did, but from every mainline Pokemon game ever. Battle system is interesting, but not worth it if the tradeoff is no chance to explore the rest of Kalos or even see Pokemon living outside of the city. Hopefully the world is much bigger than what was shown and they prove me wrong.

Really? Man, we have an entire mainline series dedicated to that concept. Let the Arcues series be its own thing. I think a big Pokemon Yakuza like city with wild zones is a cool concept.
