I'm still very early but I just popped on for a few minutes to have a go at a boss I skipped, The Wandering Wight and I beat him rather easily, he was no where near as strong ad I thought.
Many have said that this is the Genichiro moment of the game and it all clicks after you defeat the big baby and you gey a skill that is eff3ctive the whole way through the game. I felt nothing. There was no joy in beating him, I am left wondering what is the deal with the hype for this game, Surely this isn't the God Of War/DMC/Bayonetta killer that people were hyping.
There is no parry, to block, transformations are CDs like in an RPG/MMO, invisible walls, yhe staff blurs the player character area to hide artificating, boss gauntlet feel, the combat feels floaty and at times unresponsive like doge doesn't work in certain conditions. The stanima meter is pointless etc. I dont get it, after Stellar Blade over the last few months this feels like a much lesser game in the genre. They have a map now and I can only imagine the FOMO from playing at launch and checking every invisible wall.
I am going to stick with it and hopefully it all clicks into place but so far it's much more like a more difficult FF16 than it is like the astounding Stellar Blafe and juggernaut Sekiro.
What am I missing? Below is supposed to be a boss, I recorded because it was the most pathetic boss I've ever encountered.
