Yeah I would never play those kinds of games on console lol. There's also the likes of Frostpunk 2 coming to consoles soon, there's Paradox grand strategy games like Stellaris and Crusader Kings 3 that can be ported, and I even wonder about the possibility of a Baldur's Gate 3 port!

Having mouse like functionality can be quite the captivating feature.

Rumour about the pricing. I think the pricing is great in USA and Europe (PS5 digital edition pricing), but it's a bit expensive in Japan? It's almost the price of PS5 in Japan

4k BRL is imo a bit overpriced. You can get a PS5 for 3700 BRL and it comes with 2 digital games. Good thing Amazon always offers discounts after the demand is met, I remember Switch being selling for 70% of launching price a few months after its official introduction

There we go. Let's see Xenoblade and Astral Chain 2!

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

The thing with nintendo console's lack of power is that it's not an issue at all. 4 years into ps5 life cycle and we're still getting ps4 versions of newly released games (who have to work on base ps4). Switch 1 already got ps4 games ports, yes they were less advanced, but when you see that ys 8, 9 and 10, trials of mana, dragon quest 11, etc... got switch versions, you see that the lack of power is not an issue.

The leak about ff7 rebirth on switch 2 is not even a surprise... ff7 rebirth is nothing more than a ps4 game (same game engine, graphics, etc... as ff7 remake). I think that the only reason they made rebirth a ps5 only game was to make sure that it'll use only a ssd on ps consoles.

If the switch 2 gets a release in early 2025, we might even get on par ports from ps5/xbox series (more like series s like, but current gen games anyway) for like 3 or more years.

When people critized the specs of the first switch, saying it was barely a ps3, they didn't take into account that... the switch wasn't as big as a ps3/360. If we get small downgrade ports of ps5 games, i'll be fine with that as... as bigger as the switch 2 might be, it'll never match my ps5 in terms of size.

Considering the switch already gets low tech ps4 games, the switch 2 is sure to get more games from ps5/xbox series. Elden ring everywhere...

Never heard of that source before, think it's fake.

Developers could also just learn how to programme and implement user friendly gyro aiming, but let me not get into that

No please, gyro aiming and motion controls are crappy!

Having mousing control is a much better interface, still amuses me why console makers do not develop mouse controllers. Baldurs Gate 3 simply works better with a mouse, having a keyboard and mouse plugged into PS5 would be amazing. They made a good job adapting the controls and menus to console controllers, but we can still see the limitations

Not launching this fiscal year like it was expected all along. Now it's all about waiting for three months until the real meat of the new system is shown off, a timeframe that closely aligns with how it went for the first Switch. If the same timeline holds true beyond that, a May launch is certainly possible. If it's not happening in spring, then it's hard to imagine it happening in summer either; September or October would be the next-best months after May.

Anyway, what has been confirmed so far is both unsurprising and good. Switch 2 is a better Switch and backwards compatible.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Do wish they would do a little more deviation on the branding front. Even the TV placeholder graphic is the same. I think Playstation do a good job of showing clear succession whilst also leaving an impression of "new"

Yeah Zuby Tech is as reliable as a random twitter user of 5 followers suddenly sharing what they've heard about a leak lol

The image is from a render someone made on January 6.
So it's certainly fake.
