The thing with nintendo console's lack of power is that it's not an issue at all. 4 years into ps5 life cycle and we're still getting ps4 versions of newly released games (who have to work on base ps4). Switch 1 already got ps4 games ports, yes they were less advanced, but when you see that ys 8, 9 and 10, trials of mana, dragon quest 11, etc... got switch versions, you see that the lack of power is not an issue.

The leak about ff7 rebirth on switch 2 is not even a surprise... ff7 rebirth is nothing more than a ps4 game (same game engine, graphics, etc... as ff7 remake). I think that the only reason they made rebirth a ps5 only game was to make sure that it'll use only a ssd on ps consoles.

If the switch 2 gets a release in early 2025, we might even get on par ports from ps5/xbox series (more like series s like, but current gen games anyway) for like 3 or more years.

When people critized the specs of the first switch, saying it was barely a ps3, they didn't take into account that... the switch wasn't as big as a ps3/360. If we get small downgrade ports of ps5 games, i'll be fine with that as... as bigger as the switch 2 might be, it'll never match my ps5 in terms of size.

Considering the switch already gets low tech ps4 games, the switch 2 is sure to get more games from ps5/xbox series. Elden ring everywhere...
