Platinumed Clair Obscur Expedition 33 at 66 hours. 10/10. Game of the 9th Generation so far.

Everything I look for in a Platinum aside from one mistep by the developer making one collectible missable which in the end didn't matter cause speed running to the end of NG+ gave me all the EXP I needed in 15 minutes as opposed to farming the same mobs for hours and hours but asides from that, no need for meta gaming or guides (mostly, they help clean up the few collectible you haven't found naturally), lots of bronze trophies and fun ones too. Gets you checking out lots of side stuff that probably wouldn't have been engaged with other wise. It helps that the game is so phenomenally brilliant too and everything within it is so fun. I would say this would be an 80-90 hour Platinum if you don't break the game cause there are a lot of fights to get through and those fights can get very long and some are extremely challenging playing Legit, no game breaking trickery. I done 75% of the story on Expert difficulty, half of the end game on normal and half on easy after I broke the game and started one shooting everything. You can see rested assets here all over the place but it works because of the story of the game and only adds to world, they did better with what they had than AAA studios do with 2000 people and 400 million and asides from that one collectible they really considered the platinum too.

Now the game is so absolutely fantastic I went ahead and started a fresh save file and straight bavk into it. Truly an master work of a game and now I get to use the two characters and styles of play I avoided the first time so there will be fresh stuff, gonna try and not really mess with Lumina and just enjoy the game again and try to rely on skill based play and counters on normal difficulty. This is a piece of art that stands up with anything in any museum in the world.

Krist. Its over; SaGa Frontier plated.

I'm going say plat ease is a 5/10. A very difficult game to plat in a "phase" I guest. I had to take multiple breaks to get through it. 8 different characters but nowhere enough unique content to justify them all(You're redoing alot things). In the Remaster version you can transfer over most things to a new playthrough to help speed the subsequent playthrough up. This was not possible in the original and it's why most people never beat 8 stories until this remaster came out. Myself included. Glad to knock this off my bucket list.

I think I'm moving straingt into SaGa Frontier 2 but will we look at my mountain of games before any final choices.

Yo @LegitHyperbole do I need to do this stupid ass volleyball mini game for the plat in C33?

Yeah lol. But you don't need to do the strongest one. As long as you do the medium one and get the outfit it counts, might even count with the easiest I'm not sure but I could not do the strongest and still got the trophy. Tip here is you don't need to be running back and forth cause your attack had reach but instead what I found most helpful was to watch my character in my pheirphery while holding R2 down to sprint and I'd make half the distance. Parry around the time the dolls leave, between when they start and by the time they get half way, it's a lot easier than you think initially.

What's much more annoying is the wall, once you come to it. All you can do there is keep attempting until you get lucky.

Oh ok thankgod for that lol, I did the weakest and normal with zero issues but the strongest backs the camera out so much I had to throw up hands and take a break. Glad to know I can skip it.

Clair Obscure Expedition 33 Platinum #22. Clocking in at 52hrs.

Ride The Chariot | ‘25 Completion

My Platinum streak comes to an end with Khazan, true ending makes the final boss have three phases and while I figure you can save up all the secondary health items and use them on him so the battle will just become a matter if staying alive I'm not sure that tactic will work in his last stages when he gets really aggressive cause it's cery hard to get a window to even do damage at that point cause you're constantly defending, not sure there will be a window to heal and the third phase is a complete unknown, I'm not gambling 30 or 40 more hours for something I'm unsure I will be able to pull off near the end. If any concrete data comes out that you can NG+ and get the normal trophy even if you played on easy in NG then I'll keep the game installed and do it with that secured. It's still 30 hours but having the stats points high gives the ability to be flexible and change up builds which gives me a lot more confidence even if NG+ fight may be harder towards the end. Game is great but I'm not doing all that stuff for the true ending only to find I can't beat the final boss on normal difficulty with 3 ohases or it's an affair that takes a dozen or more stressful hours to overcome.

That's 9 platinum trophies in a row, best I have ever done and it'll be a long time before I get 10 in a row, if ever.

Bavk to something short and something easy with Scars Above and Univorn Overlord respectively.

You know, you're right. I could allocate an hour every evening and be done in a month. 👍

Platinum No.12. Bright Memory: Infinite at 5 hours. Game 6/10. Difficulty 2/10. Overall Plat 5/10.

Surprisingly fun plat. Despite what it says online you only need to do two playthroughs now on the second highest and highest difficulty or, play on normal and then chapter select the last chapters to get those trophies but since you'll have to farm stuff after that might as well play the two and enjoy it cause it is a fun game and the second playthorugh is more fun with skill unlocks. Game feels like they went about making a game but hit budget constraints and polished up what they could, the story is not once explained and characters appear like you are supposed to know them, that gives this impression. Regardless, game is fun and I wouldn't want it longer but I would want an option to skip the cutscenes. The highest difficulties bosses can be trivialised once you realise a certain skill is spammable and really OP. I'd rate it a 7 at its sale price if it wasn't for the constant screen tearing, technical issues and if there was just that bit of extra but of polish and tuning but for less than a tenner on sale it's damn decent, mindless fun.
