You can use you're PS wraped or equivelent but since PSN over tracked me at over 1400 hours, I'll go manual.

I tracked myself at 1232 hours and spent 867 hours of that time on games I actually finished, side and end game content. That's 24 hours per week ot 3.4 hours per day on average. 24 total games completed. 6 Platinum Trophies. Spent the most time in Sekiro at 75 hours. Game of the year was Stellar Blade. Highlight of the year was platinuming Sekiro after Screwing up and using skill points on attack power, making this a task of shear grind but one in the best action game ever so it was so much fun getting to NG+7 to grind for two or three hours.

Compared to 2023 at 800 hours with 660 of those hours spent in games completed, side and end game content. Which is 15 hours per week or 2.1 hours per day on average. 5 games completed. 1 Platinum trophy. Spent the most time in Diablo 4 at 450 hours. Game of the Year Diablo 4. Highlight of the year, replaying Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 and getting all the vibes.

So 2024 was an excellent year. I hope to be able to manage 4 hours as an average or more this year and use the time more wisely, choosing games that I have more of a chancing to avoid dropping out of and not bother trying to force my way into a game or genre I wanna play and no falling for nostalgic moods. And just to clarify, I don't spend 3 hours everyday day gaming, I game in sessions with many days no gaming at all.

I spent some time on Switch playing steam world dig and slay the Spire but didn't keep track. I'd have to assume no more than 40 hours.

You're avoiding your PS5? Or have you played all that's worth playing? Or is this because of portability?

Nice one. Again, another purely Nintendo gamer? Why so? Portability issue? Or nothing on PS/xbox that interests? Or played all that's for you?

I have a preference for Nintendo games. I love puzzles and challenges, I don't like heavy nor complicated stories/narratives. (Gameplay >> Story.) PS5 games require too much brain power, and I'm typically using video games as a means to take a break from using the reading part of my brain. (Must i remind you that i study mathematics+religious text nonstop?)

Oh I get ya. Yeah, I'm getting tired of the narrative focused stuff too and having the controller taken outta my hand to walk just a few steps and bavk into another cutscene or set piece, so I know what ya mean.

I spent almost 300 hours on PS5 and Xbox combined, so not a purely Nintendo gamer. The best game I played this year is a PS5 exclusive: Astro Bot.

I review a lot of games and, all things being equal, I prefer to play on Switch, due to its portability and screenshot functionality. I also play a lot of indie titles and retro compilations that don't require serious horsepower. Finally, there were just a bunch of attractive Switch console/launch exclusives this year: Pepper Grinder, Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble, Natsu-Mon, Bakeru, Echoes of Wisdom, etc.

PC (Steam) - 1066.25 hours
PC (Xbox gmaepass) - 92 hours

Gotcha. Thanks for clarity.
