The only market Sony seems to care about is the US market. Given that they don't care at all that PS5 sales is collapsing in Europe compared to PS4 sales, as long as they grow in the US Sony is happy.

I really wish M&L Brothership did better in the sales department

I feel like releasing 3 RPGs starring Mario in the course of a year was overkill; people already got their fill with Super Mario RPG and Thousand Year Door by the time Brothership came out.

I stand corrected. Apparently a PS5 version of Minecraft including a physical version finally released a few weeks ago on October 22, 2024.

That is odd because it comes nearly four years after the PS5 first launched. So what I said was true for about 95% of the PS5's lifespan. The under the radar release of the PS5 flew over my head.

What I said was based on the fact that people have been complaining for years about the lack of a native PS5/Series version of Minecraft. Microsoft claimed there was no PS5 version because they did not have access to PS5 dev kits.

I apologize that the information in my post is about 5 weeks out of date.

Microsoft's entire output comes from one game: Minecraft.  So Microsoft isn't exactly cooking.  However, that doesn't mean Sony shouldn't be worried, as only 3 games are in the list, and none are in the top 20.

I remember people saying Microsoft paid too much for Mojang when it first happened but they got their money's worth pretty quickly  and 10 years later still making a lot of money off of Minecraft.
