Dragons Dogma 2 would be better srrved if the character creator let you make better looking pawns as peolme woulf be mote likely to use them and you'd get more bages which adds knowledge abouy the world, quests and enmies to help you along the way but as deep as the CC is, all you can make is masculine looking women who have little curves. You can't even make a good looking man in this game, all the bodies are Dad bodies. No athletes at all in a world where you have to be physically fit.

Also, Dragon Age VG's character creator. Playing as a good looking dude and then a hot women in my two playthroughs and improved the Romancing. I'd assume the same would be said for VG, I see you can make a hot man but you can't make a hot woman. Full female bodies are apparently not allowed.

You must just suck at CC then, my pawn is in DD2 and my DATV character are both 👌👌👌

Everyone I watched play the game had not much issue making a pretty face but add any complexity to the body like the arch of a woman's back and not a chance. Flatter asses than Taylor Swift.

As for Drgaons Dogma 2. Same, pretty face but my main pawn looks like she's was the last decendant from the neadathral in her body.

I honestly think so, but attractive isn't necessarily over sexualised. Since Kratos was given as an example I am going to follow up on that. If we had a scrawny guy with a high voice play the role of Kratos the game would hit very different.

Character design is very important and since we easier relate to either cool or attractive characters, I would say character design is an important part of the game. Its definitely important for sales, since most people don't want to play as dull looking characters.

Astro is also designed really well and the character design is a part of its charm.

Good point about Kratos. I quit Ragnorak, partly from having to play as Atreus. The disembodied head has more charisma.

Not that scrawny guys can't sell games, Guybrush Threepwood has tons of charisma.

I usually pick a default characters when given the choice to design them, especially if the game is mostly in a first person perspective.

PAPA NIER IS BEST NIER! This ugly fucker is better than Brother Nier who is typical JRPG pretty boy. Love Papa Nier! So not always. It's too broad of a question. Are we including Racing games? Platformers? Puzzle games? Sports games? Also it depends on the circumstances of the games aim and goals. Setting and such.

For me 100% if its a guy like kratos or a girl like kasumi i rather play with a good look char then the one on most western games nowadays.

False in the sense that they do not "improve" the game. A game with bad gameplay/narrative/design is gona stay a bad game no matter the attractiveness of the characters. They cant carry that hard. Take DarkSouls/Elden Ring for example, its common that the player-created characters are goblin looking blue skinned weird things. And the game remains fantastic regardless. it doesnt matter.

But if the game is already good - my personal choice would be to have good looking characters. But thats just me.

I find it the opposite, if I see an ugliest character in a game it usually means identity politics is shoved in and that's a sign of ther prioritising stuff over making a quality game. Stellar Blade for example shows they know that their audience wants and are willing to give it, same with FF14, The Last decendant and more. They listen to the fans.

And it has nothing to do with porn, if people want porn they")) go for porn sites not games. It enhances the experience. I feel much better about fitting Geralt out with the best looking gear simply for the asteethics, something I wouldn't be into in the character model was ugly. In Stellar Blade it adds fun to explore or grind for outfits? Cause Eve's insanely hot. Wouldn't give a fuck about them if she wasn't.

Stellar blade MC looks like a sex doll, it's totally unappealing to my eyes. Everything about her screams "generic" lol. It's so different than 2B from Nier who while also sexualized has so much personality on her, she looks iconic and memorable the moment I put my eyes on her I knew the devs really thought in how to make an impression

A female character who is hot as fuck (and much prettier than Eve), but still cool looking is my girl Tifa. She has a revealing outfit, but it's fairly functional and doesn't scream "porn" to my face. She looks like someone who's ready to fight, not ready to takes her clothes off and film a sex scene

I don't care what she is, when she's on screen she's so overwhelmingly attractive, her body is so perfect that I doubt there is a woman alive who matches it. Regardless, it's just been fun looking for outfits and to see the next one, you don't get that in FF. Eve looks incredibly cool no matter what outfit you put her in cause she's doing such cool ass shit like mid air flips and stuff you'd expect an anime character to be doing. So getting new suits across my three playthroughs to see her play out the action has just been fun.

I would argue Eve has much more functional suits than both 2B and Tifa. The original suite isn't even all that revealing, far less than both 2B and Tifa. Also she like 2B is an android anyways.

Also I would say Eve herself becomes quite a badass character throughout the game. Especially after the first mission. She confronts massive monsters head first and slays them stylish as fuck.

Arguably whilst a little naïve Eve is one of the coolest characters out there.

Yep. People who haven't pkayed the game will see what they want to see. Definetly one of the coolest. Just done the section from Spire to past the main boss again and it's just full of badassness. She rips off Ravens arm, slices off the other and then cooly walks away telling her her spine has been severed and she's keeping her alive so she can see what she does withe world. Just the fighting alone outside of cutscenes, the animations are so fluid everything looks mad, cool.
