I just wanna post what I posted in the beaten games thread about Halls of Torment, a game I think that might well be the most balanced and well tested game I have ever played, it is so fine tuned that it supports my theory that no game should ever have difficulty options. It's an absolute wonder of engineering and whomever done the QA needs to be awarded.
Beaten Halls of Torment, easily a 10 out of 10, I'm Not gonna say yet if it's better than Vampire Survivors, it's certainly more refined but at only 14 hours ( I think I have a boss left but the story is done) it is thee best Diablo like experience I've ever had and it's more like Diablo in ways than it is VS. I take it Platinuming this game comes in around the same time as VS and unless something tragic happens, I can't see this not topping VS. It's so perfectly balanced, you can not seem to out build the game (yet, lots of end game to do) and builds are so good, having to travel for skills is genuis and keeps you on the move evoking the diablo feel of cutting through mobs. Just a magical game and I look forward to, slowly, platting this or at least trying, I won't commit to palatinums this year to play more and keep things varied. I have lots in my backlog and some massive games I hope to play and Replay. Halls of Torment, absolute S tier game. I've played thousands of hours of the genres this game pulls from and it's the most delightful 14 hours I've had with either, bar Vampire Survivors for it's insane reward factor.
