Gex Collection

It was fun, surprised how fun the first 2D one was.

I'm continuing Red Matter 2 again. It's the sharpest most stable looking game on PSVR2, native 120 fps, super sampled with eye tracked foveated rendering, you have to really pay attention in the headset to find any visible LOD changes. The lighting is also perfectly color graded to the OLED panels.

Yet it also proves, even the best technical games still need good game play to keep me engaged. I keep getting bored of the slow movement. Running speed is more like regular walking speed in other games while the jet pack (jump) and falling is painfully slow. Manipulating objects never feels right. It shows your hands in game holding on to some weird grabber tool which you use to pick up objects. That only breaks immersion, like trying to do things with boxing gloves on.

But I keep coming back to see what the headset is capable of. The navigation puzzles are all right, not as good as for example firmament but do make use of the extra possibilities VR offers, manipulating things in 3D space, targeting through windows, around a corner. Combat is rather weak though, feels out of place.

Recommended to see what's possible in VR, yet as a game I score it 3/5.

And playing more Lumines Arise. That also shows what the headset is capable of, even better since it supports 10 bit HDR (RM2 is enhanced HDR, missing the specular highlights). Plus the visual effects, sound effects and music are top notch. I suck at the game (rank C player, no fall mode) but it's simply awesome to play.

YES!!! It's a Christmas miracle. Halls of torment is on PS5 now and I just know I'll be able to get into this game and perhaps it might even get me gaming again after months of not being able to. This is such a relief. Thank God.

It's been a run-and-gun month for me. Completed Terminator 2D: No Fate and Neon Inferno. EXCELLENT games!

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Playing Path of Exile 2 again, Werewolf Druid is a ton of fun (and strong as hell). I'm also replaying The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, and waiting for my mods on Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord to work again after the huge update and DLC release.

I have stopped playing turn based RPGs but I tried Metaphor: Refantazio due to its high metacritic score.
I am in the middle of the game, the game is good but not so good for the score it has.
I also tried Baldur's Gate 3 but i stopped in the start, I don't play turn based RPGs with tactical movement anymore. It is boring.

Just finished Singularity after wanting to play this for about 15yrs. What a throw back to gaming in the 2010s. Grey and gritty with fantastic gunplay and some fantastic mechanics. Really enjoyed this!. Next game to see the year out is Return To Castle Wolfenstein, had to make my own control scheme on the Deck for this (tried a few community based one and I wasn’t satisfied) and what a nostalgia trip!! I ain’t played this in 20 years.

Ride The Chariot | ‘26 Completion

Got a high noon meeting with the devil and the herald, and the Lockheed birds.

Got Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 for Xmas, works surprisingly well with the joycons I must say

Fantasian Neo Dimension

Enjoyed the first chapter of the game but the second one is honestly not my cup of tea.

Game became slow and especially boss fights were a bitch.

Tried tree times to get beat the final boss; but the first 2 times I failed and the third time and it crashed on me..

I gave up on it especially when it takes 2 hours to beat the boss and you need a new game + run to get all achievemetns..

Playing Megabonk game started off slow but upon learning the games version of a 3D vampire survivors like gameplay that sees you combining various pickups with different  characters its become addictive. that was until until sudden jumps in enemy hp after beating the stage 2 desert boss rear its ugly head.
