Stalker 2 kicks absolute ass! I'm getting decent enough performance that's not really bothering me much, but the game will be practically perfect once their A-Life 2.0 system is working properly, which GSC has said they're working on. Even after 17 years, the first Stalker games A-Life AI system is something that should be studied. There's very few other games ever made that have such an organic feeling and acting NPC system. Once that's working properly in Stalker 2 and seeing what kind of improvements they've built *chef's kiss*

When I'm done chilling out in the zone, I've been going back to Wipeout: Omega Collection. Picked it up recently. By far my favorite PlayStation franchise and seeing it run at a flawless 4K 60fps is also *chef's kiss* lol. Honestly the game doesn't even need a PS5 patch because it already runs and looks flawless!

I'd recommend people to stay clear of Dragons Dogma 2, it is not anything close to it's high Opencritic and more in line with its MC user score, perhaps less.

Right now I'm gonna boot up Spiderman 2 for the first time this evening.

Instead of Dragons Dogma 2, you should be playing Rise of the Ronin. You seemed to enjoy Nioh 2 and Wolong at least, so another similar but different game from the same developers.

I was actually eyeing the sale and it does look fun. Yeah, anything those devs do is always great on some level. I think I'll buy it, Spiderman 2 is really vanilla.

Ronin has an extensive demo.

Watched a video on the home page of a guy testing out the PRO patch and the game commits the cardinal sin of open world games, texture and asset pop in to an insane degree. I consider it unplayable in its current state,  if you're gonna do open world it doesn't have to be pretty but it has to have cohesion. Pity cause the combat looks fun. This shouldn't be a thing with an SSD, it looks so unstable.

Final Fantasy 16 it is and I'll circle back to Spiderman 2 after I let it stew for a while, feels terribly vanilla.

Well let's just say I don't play Team Ninja games for their Open World. FFXVI is great though.

Highly recommend astro/ silent hill 2 remake

Currently forcing myself to finish the diablo 4 main story as I bought the game over a year ago.

Started playing Final Fantady 16 and HOLY FUCK. This shit is dark as all hell, they really leaned into the darkness here. Just the opening three hours are soul crushing. I get the feeling I'm not going to be left with a warm feeling in my stomach with this game. Not really sure that's what FF fans want out of FF games but asides from that the gameplay is even more dumbed down than FF15 and that's a feat. It's the same as Crisis Cores's remake now. Mash square, dodge and let off a cool down every now and then. I don't know if I' more shocked by the brutality of the narrative that left me feeling unsettled even into this morning. I just can't seem t getluvk with a game atm that gives me the vibe and gameplay I want. Stellar Blade spoiled me too much, the game was too good and I wasn't expecting it so it ended up blowing my mind. Now I can't reaet and even the pallete cleanser game I tried, Squirrel with a gun turned out to be dog shit 😕

Found many games to look forward ro among them, Nine Sols which looks like Hollow Knight 2 yet no confirmed ps5 date. The next time I'll be buying new releases will be in Feburary where Kingdom Come Deliverence and Monster Hunter Wilds fall into the same time period. Damn, I wish KCD would do a January launch. One will have to be chosen over the other and KCD2 might loose out because I know it's best to wait for patches with that studio.

FF16's story is trash. Combat is overly simple and terrible. No such thing as elemental attacks or weakness in a supposed RPG is a joke. Female characters are poorly written. From evil for no reason to characters who are supposed to be powerful suddenly become helpless damsels for no reason. Most the side questes are Doordash delivery service and the second half of the game drags slower than a 3 legged turtle in a puddle of molasses. It's one saving grace in the boss battles developed by Platinum Games. TBH Stranger in Paradise is a great ARPG from Team Ninja and FF7Rebirth is great.
