Holy shit, I just found the actual easy mode setting for Khazan. I was looking up the latest boss to see if I could cheese him on Khazan and someone mentioned Reflection parrys, this games difficulty just got halved. That's like 40 hours I could have cut down to 30 if I had known that the reflection skill tree is different from normal parrys. They really should add that in as a standard mechanic and add a tutorial blurb or however they handled tutorials in this game. It's so effective, just another parry where you can cut half the stanima of the enemy. Game is still nuts difficult and it doesn't help deep into boss fights when they get enraged or the timing becomes too narrow later in the fight but this really takes the edge off early on and in the levels and the tougher enemies within them feel trivial now. Feels so good now that I'm so heightened against the game, feels like getting a proper Nioh 2 build rolling without have to wait till end game.

Started another new Clair Obscur playthrough as I'm not really bothered doing end game again, my goal is to beat everything on expert without a character dying, if one body drops I reload the save. No using cheater or Second chance pictos, I may use Lumina but only gain points by exploring and standard mobs so no turning in expedition logs for a lumina windfall, battling overworld bosses or buying off of merchants, leveling weapons will also only be from upgrade materials from standard mobs and bosses, no unintentional overleveling allowed, no side content not even mimes, while only allowing each mob to be cleared once off of the map and the goal is to beat the final story boss on skill alone, I only kill a mob twice if it blocks my way. If I get to the final boss I may do the end game content this way. It's going great so far, got up to The Ultimate sakapate without a hitch, almost flawless asides from missing four or five hits but everyone's still standing. This game is just so incredible, up to 90 hours, that's like 20 extra hours post platinum, two full story playthroughs and a NG+ run and it's still as fun as when it peaked and perhaps even more so, I see a couple hundred hours going into this like with Sekiro and it pairs perfectly with Khazan, they both flow together really nicely.

90 hours and I only just realised you can hit R1 at a mob and gain the advantage to go first regardless of Agility. 🤦‍♂️

I need some gore and since Doom won't be here until next week. Time for some Ninja Gaiden II Black and some Lollipop Chainsaw Re-Pop. I kinda want a good vampire game in this genre. OOH, imagine a Hellsing action game.

Funnily enough, I just added a game to my wish list called Assault suit Leynos. I wonder where you got your name

Hehehe. Love the Assault Suits series.

Now that it's on heavy sale, I wanted to play Forbidden Wests, Burning Shores expansion to see the graphics without YouTube compression so I know if it really is the best there is as it looks but you have to finish the campaign of the base game 🤦‍♀️ I guess I'll have no base line for Death Stranding, Ghost of Yotei and GTA6.

As to what I am gaming, Khazan continues to impress me, last night I came across the worst boss in the game so far and it still managed to be a good boss. A massive Dragon, the worst amongst such a group of incredible bosses but it forced be to change my build up once again and I'm sticking with it, now I'm tanky with a weight ratinf of B, relying solely on guard with loads of Stanima damage decrease stats instead of stanima recovery and the game feels different to play, I can still get in my reflection parrys from guarding, even easier now and instead of playing fast and swift like Nioh 2 I'm playing methodically theough the latest levels slowly. The game is infact special. The variety of play here is stellar. It's litterally choose between Sekiro, Souls, Bloodborne or Nioh 2 based on how you build and what weapon you build around.

Might respec to great sword for my next session cause this is a nice change of pace. I highly recommend people who even partly enjoy those 4 games I mentioned to give this a try. The standard is up there, it is addictive, it plays beautifully and the only asterix I'll add is to make sure you spec in Stanima and stanima recovery no matter your build. The levels also get better as the game, I'm beginning to settle on them being better than the Nioh series at least, they're more focused and you don't have to go searching for Kodama buffs every new region. I'd say they are on par with Wo Long fallen Dynasty but just short of Black Myth Wu Kongs design of linear parts.

I know I have flip flopped but after 50+ hours. That's a strong recommendation to Khazan for people who have even a passing interest in playing Souls, Sekiro or Nioh solo without assists. And yes, this is worth the 59,99 price tag. It's fantastic and has loads of content, really fun side missions too. Best bosses in the genre consistently, something Souls doesn't even get right, there are some real stinkers in Soulsbornekiro when put aside Khazan for comparison. There is two bosses in this game so far I would consider weakly designed but they still land on being good or decent. Strong 9/10 game. This isn't just another Souls clone, it is phenomenal in its own right.

Khazan devs are adding a boss gaunlet and it'll be comprised of two modes for free. Already better support at 59,99 than most devs at 79,99. Gotta love it. I can't wait to see this pricing war play out in favour of, ugh I hate the term AA now as it is not reflective of gaming now, I'll say smaller more focused projects hitting for manageable price points cause this game feels just like it would fit in with the rest at 79,99.
