Why don't you understand how anyone can like it?

My guess is that it's because you don't understand that different people have different tastes. It might explain why you decided to grossly exaggerate and distort the of random battle experience - assuming you have any idea what that experience is.

I know the experience. Playing FF10 is impossible, you can't move for a few seconds without getting a pop up. Games are better when you can move around mobs on the map and at the very least have a magnetic radius so you can choose to engage or not and level up as you please and the random battle enjoyer gets what they want and can clear out the map if they please. I don't hear anyone asking for random battles to return, they're a relic, an unfortunate mechanic from tech limitations that at one time was enjoyable because it's all there was and we were forced into finding it addictive by shear repetition and result screens but games have evolved and random battles are one thing we can all thank the lord are done away with. Having that choice there like in Dragon quest 11 or Tales if Arise is inherent to expanding the genre to more players and to get bigger budgets as with Tales of Arise.

With the above said a modern game can come along once and a while with random battles that are paced very well, unimpeding and get the placement right or place battles apart that make it seem like random battles and they can be very enjoyable like with I am Setsuna. Placement and pacing is key however and games never got that right until the modern age, not any that I can remember anyway.

Final Fantasy X is neither impossible to play, nor does the experience entail popups every second.

But, it's good to know that you'll wade in bullshit to avoid understanding that other people have different tastes than you.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I mean impossible as in frustrating. Random battles are a taste like eating hot peppers or extremely spice food is a taste, it can get very addictive but it still burns.

I had Stellar Blade on New Game Plus until you are ready to go to the space elevator. I just wanted to sit at that point the past year to pop in the game explore a bit then turn it off. Well, all of a sudden I had the urge to finish NG+ so I did. But chose a different ending from last time. I thought about keeping the save with the new outfits but thought meh none of them were good and after finishing NG+ reloaded my old save. Also again replaying Ninja Gaiden II Black but been playing both while listening to Manowar.

Wahhht? Why would hou delete the save? All content rolls into the next save and you can keep things on hard, I don't understand you can keep doing as many runs as you want and may eventually have a save at 100%. Just stop a run as soon as you get to the great desert for any possible DLC.

But if you want some great content out of Stellar Blade the boss gauntlet for normal mode is so fun and the outfit reward is the one I stuck with for my return playing. Also, stop to do the fishing, it's so good and collect the cans if you haven't already, that content is surprisingly so much fun. Go for the platinum, that encompasses it all and is so rewarding.

I didn't want to do everything again up to my last save. I'm not going to finish it again anytime soon. So it's fine. I would have if they gave me an alt Raven outfit the only outfit I wear.

Oh I see, you triggered the ending but you reloaded the save you still have near the end of NG+, I thought you nuked it to start fresh.

Starting Echoes of Wisdom today, Next is Hyrule Warriors Definitive ( i didn't get to play the 3DS Legends content back on Wii U)

I recently got the Nintendo Online Expansion Pack and I've been going through the GBA games. I redid Metroid Zero Mission (which stretches the definition of remake by how different it is from the original NES Metroid and much much better).

Right now, I'm playing The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap for the first time ever and it's quite good I must say.

Minish Cap is my second favourite 2D Zelda, right after ALBW!

I recently played Roadwarden, and I highly recommend it to anyone that likes interactive fiction/gamebook RPG of dark fantasy kind, with some really great world building. Is it text heavy (of course), but I like that, and gameplay-wise, while lighter than something like Steve Jackson's Sorcery!, it gives you initial choice of Fighter, Mage or Scholar with fairly distinct flavours to each one and how they act in that world.
