If we're talking true PS5 exclusives i'd say Astrobot or Demon's Souls
Besides those there's
Spiderman 2, Stellar Blade, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, and FF7 Rebirth.
Astrobot is lots of fun. my favorite game this year so far.

You might change your mind after you get one. Plenty great games out already and more coming soon. (Metro Awakening, Alien Rogue Incursion, Aces of Thunder) |
I'll get it used and yeah, I'm sure it'll suck me into buying almost every game for it like PSVR1 did. I wanna feel that wow factor from VR again but I don't wanna spend the price of the console for it.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Beautiful and very fun game with lovely characters

It's less than the ps5 pro ;) :/
Best to play 'flat' first as I don't hardly have any desire left to play without VR, Astrobot only this year.

May I suggest some games that you will undoubtedly get you hooked on flat. Vampire Survivors, Brotato and Balatro. Both the first teo games are simply easy with no effort but just blast you with dopamine. The third game, Balatro is a whole other beast, takes thought and strategy but it also blasts you with dopamine.they're cheap too, You can get both VS and Brotato for 10 euro and Balatro is 15.
Also, how come you couldn't get into Baldaurs gate 3? Did you play Larians other games? Or enjoy the genre anymore... I know I'll love it cause for me it's Divinity Original Sin 3 for all intents and purposes. It does take a lot to invest in these games for them to return on that investment but from amour discussions I'd have sworn you'd be into true CRPGs.

I expected Baldur's Gate, not whatever Larian has turned it into. I never played Larian's other games, so my bad. I replayed Baldur's Gate II a couple years ago, still enjoy that genre.
My main issues come from buying it for PS5 instead of PC. These games need mouse interface, the controls on PS5 are borderline horrible, annoying in the least. I bought it on PS5 to play split-screen with my wife. First of all, the text is so small we had to move the couch right in front of the TV and still had trouble reading item descriptions. This game is not made for couch co-op at all :/ The constant camera shifts during enemy battle rounds, from so close, made us both motion sick lol.
I tried to play on by myself, got quite far in Act 1 but had to admit to myself, I was not having fun. Tedious controls, bad camera angles, no overview, terrible pathing AI (had to constantly switch to manual control)
Next the story wasn't grabbing me. Very disjointed. I didn't care about the characters or what happened, it all just didn't seem to mesh together.
Anyway if you want to play it, do yourself a favor and don't play it on PS5 :/ PC, mouse UI, big monitor you can lean into to read the descriptions. I won't be buying it again however. Burned on a digital only release.
Elden Ring. PS4 version. Physical copy. I bought it brand new for $20, which also gives me a digital copy of the PS5 version. PS4 version runs at a flawless 60 FPS 1800p (never heard of that resolution, but here we are). Great game. Looks fantastic. I then plan on playing the PS5 version on the PS5 Pro at some point. I see others have mentioned Demon's Souls. Also a great choice. I mean, all the suggestions are really good, but if you end up liking Elden Ring, you can play a massive game twice for an incredible price.
You get Astro Bot apparently, a win for you and everybody !
And Dragon Quest III HD-2D and the Romancing SaGa 2 Revenge of the Seven Heroes remake :)
