Tut, tut, tut. And there are so many of these rovkstars doing tours. Gotta wonder what they all rack up together plus the millionairs and billionaire transport combined if only one of them is the equivalent to 83 people a year.

I'm doing some worldbuidling at the moment for next campaign, so would love to get my hands on something that can at least try to simulate that. |
I can't remember. A quick scan of the manual only reveals Tidal waves, no tidal lock

It would be nice to have a modern Sim Earth game with 25 years in advancements in simulation models!

Still a lot less than all the fans flying and driving to the stadium for concerts.
Taylor Swift plays to arenas of 50K to 70K people!
Depending on the size of the private jet, the range of fuel consumption is approximately between 50 and 626 Gallons of fuel per hour.
5 hour flight 3,130 gallons, add another hour for taxiing and take off, 3,756 gallons in the biggest private jet.
50,000 people driving on average 30 miles to see the concert, conservative estimate 27 mpg.
Let's say they carpool bring it down to 20,000 cars times 30 miles at 27 mpg = 22,222 gallons.
(Low estimate, people come from much further and carpool a lot less)
Concerts are bad for the environment ;)
AI is the bigger threat. By far.
But if the end comes, I'll just go out and greet it. No sense in anything else, and I've done all I need to do in life, so that's about it. Go out, breathe the last moments of air I can breathe and let it happen.

Thanks.
Yeah, it would be really nice - I quite enjoyed those Maxis' simulation "games" from that period, even remasters would be nice, let alone new versions.

VR could help save the environment. Sure it's not the same as being at a concert but if the tech evolves enough... hmm, just a thought.

I completely forgot about AI, indeed another possible E.L.E. Once far more complex but one that feels a lot more like willing suicide than the other two.
I just want AI to do all the tedious and annoying things in life. Like housework lol

SimEarth was a fantastic game, and a great example of a game that transcends the paradigm.
What I did enjoy about SimEarth was the relationship between the organic (biomes & animals) the natural inorganic (atmospheric pressure, contents, and such), the technological (civilization), and the laws of nature (reproductive rates, resource consumption rates and such).
I think the best company to make a successor to SimEarth right now would be Paradox games. They know how to build detailed systems that interact with each other, and change the course of history, on a scale worthy of SimEarth in the ~2025 era. Or some really ambitious indie team with the resources and drive.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
