In nuclear war, I'd...

Rather die in the nuclear blast. 4 16.00%

Try and survive the Fallout. 21 84.00%

Total:25

We currently have two extinction level events aimed at us, one in the form of nuclear weapons and one in the form of a runaway green house effect caused by global warming.

In either case, there would be a period between that event happening and the point where you can no longer survive, I wanna know what you are doing? How you are handling those months surviving?

Are you the take chances on the good in people kinda person? The isolationist? The kill on sight no questions asked? What exactly do you do, what's your plan? Bullet for each of your family and then one to the temple to escape the suffering to come? Live on a hope even though life becomes agony?

i'm hearing those songs in kermit's voice after i saw your av

the cynic in me wants to think that this isn't really a problem at all. In 40 years, fossil fuels will be too expensive to produce these greenhouse gases anymore. So, things will revert to normal. Also, plants will grow more numerous and larger, to eat up the C02. This happened back in the carboniferous period if i'm not mistaken because life can compensate for the C02 our world belches out. So, things may not be as bad as they seem.  Now scientists are worried and given the data that would seem rational.  But they also aren't factoring in the fact that our fossil fuels are what is creating this problem and that they are limited.

I'm more worried about things like world hunger, genocide, etc etc etc.

Love both of those, but I'll take Imitation of Life over them any random day.

I also don't think that climate change is going to be a problem in any way comparable to a nuclear world war. Don't get me wrong, changing climates and warming will have negative consequences to a lot of people. But global nuclear winter is inconceivably worse in every way. Climate change stuff is mostly alarmist shouting in a highly politicised environment, almost more of an ideology than an actual environmental catastrophy of extinction level proportions.

Edit 1: REM rocks

People here still doubting about climate change and making jokes… so stupid, educate yourself and stop wasting water and stop reproducing more people,. This planet and poor animals deserve better..
