She's the singer of Kingdom Hearts main themes. I believe she's somewhat famous among JRPG fans 

Though I don't think we should look this way, Switch is a piece of hardware. We needed to compare with things like "number of microsystems sold" or something in those lines 

I think a more interesting comparison would be the best selling album vs the best selling game

Animal Crossing sold 7.9 million copies (physical only) and likely 9+ with digital included

It sells around 1mil (in JP) every 18-24 weeks. I think 35mil should be a safe bet, 36mil would be realistic, 37mil is a stretch, and 38mil is certainly not impossible seeing how steady annual NSW sales figures have been in JP throughout its entire life.

Hopefully, he'll comeback with another round of those at some point. We need the words of our true Savior, Tbone !

Only after they're gone, do we realize how godful their predictions were. It seemed so outlandish when it started back in 2016-2017, but he genuinely had some of the best predictions now in hindsight, especially if you compare them to the conservative takes we had.

As for my own take, I don't see the Switch eclipsing itself into nothingness even by the point the successor will release. Current buyers are to my knowledge more price conscious and less tech savy than most here. It's an ideal jumping point for younger gamers interested in console gaming and those wanting an affordable way to get into Nintendo ecosystem at this point in time. 

37M+ looking more than possible imo.

Nonetheless if the results, it'll be difficult to see how the sucessor will have any chance to replicate such a result.
