There is an area later in the game there are a lot of them you kinda have to stealth. Part of it you walk in mud. Good news is after that you don't deal with them the rest of the game.

Oh dear god not again.

lol it's just one part and then you are done.  Honestly, I found them easier to avoid despite being more. I just scouted the area first filling out the permitter of the map. You avoid them to kill 2 real ones. (separately) it wasn't a big deal outside of taking a little time.

I'm in the last (I think) Dungeon

I kinda wish I had more time to use all Royal Archetypes, they look very interesting and allow deep strategy, but I just don't have time or bosses to test them

Just sprint in small circles to get them where you need them to be. They only move in straight lines

Yeah I finished the game a few days ago

Finished the game this weekend

It's a huge time sink, I clocked above 80 hours on it

Maxed all all royal classes and unlock most of gear I guess. I don't think I'm replaying it again soon, probably going to replay when a enchanted version release

Overall really really great game. The fantasy setting did wonders to salvage my increasingly boredom for high schoolers coming from Persona. Battle was pretty neat and I love how the Job system (Archrtypes) really worked well here. Probably my favorite job system since Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age

I enjoyed the story and characters with imo are Elemental for a RPG work, the party is pretty nice and I liked their interactions. I got why they choose such a boring and grey parte of colors, as the game ended everything become much brighter.

I think the writing as very on point, probably one of the best written JRPGs in respect to address minorities and racial tensions. They were thoughtful with the philosophical questions warranted, and in the end the whole game felt like an statement from developers, specially when they directly communicate with the player. For once I'm incredible greatful people are enjoying this game without weaponizing its political layers, hope things don't scale

Did ya do all the side content at 80 hours? I'm thinking of just skipping through the main path, it's getting tiring at 40 hours in. Plus 12 hours with the demo, I guess I burned myself out.

I have arrived in Altbury heights at 45 hours. How long exactly do I have left? I'm going to start skipping side content now because it's becoming a slog and the dungeon addiction has worn off. I just wanna see the story through.

I think if you rush cutscenes and avoid side quests more ~15 hours

However if you really avoid any side content be prepared to have your ass beaten. Training and get some levels are mandatory if you want to challange bosses coming. There is a level scaling modifier in damage formula, if you fight bosses too underdeveloped they will destroy you

I think level 65 is ok to face final boss. If you easier time only to know how the game ends consider changing to easy mode

Ya, I'm on easy mode. Finding it pretty... easy. I just hope I can avoid enough side content and even if it's 20 hours I can stick with it. Thank God, cause I thought the answer would be something silly like 35 hours or more.

Closing in on 50 hours. Gameplay got stale around the time on the island but the story is still very interesting at least. The main problem with the game is it's too long for it's own good, especially with side quests and all. The main path should have been shortened, there was no need for the stealth mission in the chadarius, the drawn out opera section etc. A lot of fate could be shaved off and side quests would still be enjoyable as the game would not have overstayed it's welcome. I'm fairly sure I've one big dungeon left to do and that'll be it and I will see it through but right now I wish I could skip the gameplay sections and just get on with the story, they went from really addictive to now being just an obstacle really rather quickly. It suffers the same pacing issues as Tales of Arise with gameplay/story especially now in the late game just like Arise, It's not the that bad but it's another JRPG that is easily a 10 if not marred by a certain wish to draw things out to the games fault.

The follower stories are very bland aside from the main party yet you're forced to do them for benifets and to pass time. Louis is easily the best character, really great antagonist. I suppose I do have another 15 hours or so with the demo so perhaps I wouldn't have had gotten burned out had I went in fresh.

***spoiler*** Lol. I got a ending where Louis wins cause I had chosen to give up. Nice attention to detail.
