Off the top of my head.

MvC2 is not a great version on PS2. There is a reason players flocked to the DC version all these years until the remaster this month. PS2 version took a lot out. Sprites are the wrong resolution. FPS drops on the PS2 version. MvC2 runs better on DC since it's a NAOMI game. Great game. Bad port. So not one of the best PS2 games.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

For individual games, it's Shadow of the Colossus, for a series it's Final Fantasy.

Star Wars: Battlefront II slaps, though admittedly the best version is PC because it's PC and not a console from 2000.

Jak and Daxter is probably my favorite series on the system. Ratchet was also fun. ATV Off-road Fury probably consumed most of my time and the first Smuggler’s Run buries the GTA series for me.

Other highlights: Soul Reaver 2, Final Fantasy X, and the Rayman series.
