Forums - Gaming Discussion - What's the most number of times you've beaten a game?

I’ve done OOT at least ten times 100%. It’s probably the game I revisit the most out of any. In terms of “big” games, The Witcher 3 I’ve completed twice. There will absolutely be a third and probably more times.

The Witcher 3 never gets old, gets better every time you play it. I'd be doing a run now if I didn't wanna deal with the depression that comes after having to hang up the game.

(I'm not proud of it) Back in the day I played the original Mafia on PC more than 10 times, later a few times on PS2 too. I'm pretty sure I have beaten the original Deus Ex more than 10 on PC/PS2/PCSX2. I think the third place would go to Hitman Blood Money on PC/PS2/PS3/PS4.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I haven no clue. But I bet it's SMB 1. That game, more than any other, is the ultimate pick-up-and-mindlessly-beat-it game for me. Never gets old.

I've gotten every ending in Chrono Trigger at least a few times each, but don't know how that would translate to number of playthroughs.

EDIT: Have also beaten Pokemon Red/Crystal/EMerald 20+ times each with various rulesets in place.

Mega Man X. I haven't counted, but I must have played through the game hundreds of times. I still play through it 1-2 times a year. But since I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing, it takes less than an hour to get a 100 % playthrough. =P

I keep hearing about this gamenin every thread I make, lol. I played the demo a bit and the game plays itself. What happens further in the game to make it so great? Do you still watch the battles play out rather than play the game?

Nice

Street Fighter 2, Civ 2, Super Mario Bros 1 and 3 ,and Sonic 2. I’ve probably finished those games over 100 times each. Maybe several hundred times as I’d play the crap out of them when I was a kid, often multiplayer - and Sonic 2 and Mario 3 I still play through probably once a year each. Probably a few dozen for Mario Kart, Streets of Rage, and Ninja Turtles games - multiplayer ones out of those. Link to the Past has to be a few dozen times as well, the game isn’t that long, I can complete it in an afternoon.

I’m more of an RPG guy, I’d guess I’ve probably done 30+ times for Chrono Trigger (not sure how to count this one as some pathways are much shorter than others, the game isn’t particularly long even on the longest path), I’ve done FF6 three times since just the Pixel Remaster. For the ultra-long ones, Witcher 3 five times (I think, might be more), I’m playing a Death March game right now.

Witcher 3 is like an eight course meal with a lot of replayability:

Drinks: White Orchard/Palace

Soup: Velen

Appetizer: Novigrad

Salad: Skellige

Whisky: Kaer Morhen

Main Course: Climactic stuff from Battle of Kaer Morhen through to the end of the main game.

Dessert: Hearts of Stone

Post meal drinks & finger foods: Blood and Wine (the blood part tastes a lot better than it sounds).

I spend WAY more time on that last part than most people do. I tend to go through the earlier stuff fairly swiftly, lots of leftovers, but get very thorough when it comes to dessert and post meal drinks.
