Speaking of Xenosaga, I'm kind of surprised Namco never remastered it for modern consoles, the whole series is stuck on the PS2 (and that one DS title). You'd think a remaster would do well considering how successful Xenoblade has been.

Unless Bandai operated a change of heart recently, it's not happening. The project was already turned down due to fear of insolvency.

Maybe if Nintendo to take in part of the risk of the project, but it's doubtful.

I mean, it would be a remaster of an old PS2 game. I imagine it wouldn't need that many resources, even if they remastered the three games.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Can't say what the scope of the project would entail and what the remastering goals would be with it.

It's prolly not a 1:1 easy job here because I'm sure it would've been done by done. Nonetheless, if it's just a rush project that gets us something on the level Takes of Symphonia recent remaster.

Then it would hurt it even more.

I wanna know more!! ^^

Whether it is Xenoblade or something else entirely, I can't wait!

I hope it's something other than Xenoblade.

Don't get me wrong, I loved those games, but after four of them in a row from Monolith Soft, I'm keen to see them try their hand at something else. They're a very talented studio and it'd be cool to see what they could do with a new IP.

I wanna see them handle different genres. ^^

They did work on Splatoon. Animal Crossing. Mario Kart and Zelda games. Before Nintendo, they worked on that really bad Third-person shooter in the FF7 universe. Dirge of Cerberus. There is Disaster Day of Crisis on Wii.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Interesting. I'm kind of hoping for a large, open world turn based RPG. Think Chrono Triger but open world.

To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.

It's been two decades since the last Baten Kaitos, so a new game in the series or style of it wouldn't be that much different from a new IP at this point.

They would have to ask Namco
