I propose a motion for the forum rules: Middle East will henceforth be referred to as the Missile East.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I think Georgia and North Carolina will go GOP - but that would still end on a 270-268 victory for Harris. But if it came to that result, I fear another January 6 will almost be a certainty, because MAGA will cry foul for sure then. |
One faithless elector and Harris no longer has 270.

It will also guarantee that Nebraska's unicameral, Republican-dominated legislature makes it a priority to make Nebraska winner-takes-all.

To be clear, I don’t regret defending Joe when I defended him, he deserved to be heard and understood back then. And also to be clear, I am not surprised he endorsed Trump, I saw it coming. Joe has been around for a long while so I probably should’ve been clearer about which era I was referring to. There was a time when he endorsed Bernie, had people like Kyle Kalinsky and Krystal regularly, and asked his audience to watch their shows repeatedly even when they weren’t guests: that Joe wasn’t a partisan hack, but he’s has  long gone so I am not surprised he endorsed Trump. @The pi guy: Joe is a lot smarter than the people you listed, and he also built his audience without having to engage in dishonest rhetoric and discussions etc. There was no need for him to take the path he took, unlike the rest who would see their fanbase significantly diminish if they go far off from what their audience is used to. |

I think the soft interview with Trump is the most disgusting thing he’s ever done, Joe knows how to press his guests, but he let JD Vance and Trump fiddle lies and misinformation to his face.
How are things looking now??! Not following the news, but I am anxious, never in my life I was anxious about an election result before. Not in 2016 or 2020 either; but this is different.

Joe feels pressure to be complimentary towards his guests first of all. For politicians, this is even more so. For presidential candidates how are the highest possible tier of guests, and the cream of the that tier, he would kiss their ass.
He wants repeat guests, especially from people like these.
I'm not overly convinced that Harris will win. That being said, I firmly believe that had Biden run again, he would have lost so badly that it would have been 2036 at the earliest before another Democrat was elected as president. Unless the polls are even more spectacularly wrong than they were in the last two elections, if Trump does win then the Democrats should be in a decent position to retake the White House in four years time once he hits the term limit.

People who I've been following seem to think things are looking good for Harris. That said I'm not sure I know enough to know if their analysis makes sense.

A number of polls in Indiana and Kentucky will close in a few minutes.
The more interesting stuff to start watching out for will be an hour after that.
