[Weekly software and hardware sales figures] Luigi's Mansion 2 HD tops the charts for the second week in a row! New release dragon breeding game Battle Colosseum enters the top 10 [7/1-7/7]

Sales ranking announced by Famitsu. Here is a summary of the estimated weekly sales figures for game software and hardware from July 1st to July 7th, 2024. Luigi's Mansion 2 HD an action adventure game featuring Luigi has topped the charts for the second week in a row. This title was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013 and has now been remastered in HD for the Nintendo Switch. The online cooperative play that can be enjoyed by up to four people has also been well-received with cumulative sales reaching 122,253 units.

Second place Animal Crossing: New Horizons and fourth place Momotaro Dentetsu World: The Earth Revolves on Hope! are currently holding real-life events, perhaps due to this influence both titles are showing steady sales.

Among them the one to pay attention to is Dragon Strongest King Encyclopedia Battle Colosseum, this is a training battle simulation game in which you decide which dragon is the strongest from dragons that appear in myths and legends from around the world. You can also enjoy competitive play via local and online communication and it has ranked 9th in its first appearance.

PS5 sales are starting to increase again in Japan, my prediction is 6.5 million by the end of the year.

I speculated last week that the boost in NSW sales (back into 40k territory) could be reflective of a boost in consumer confidence as a result of their most recent Nintendo Direct. Seeing that sales have moved even further, pushing now into >50k territory, is it possible that this theory is correct? That Japanese consumers are confident in the NSW again? I guess we’ll have to see what happens in the following weeks (maybe this week and last were just a fluke).

I'm in summer mode and completely forgot what day of the week it was, lmao. Thanks for posting it, ShadowLink.

Switch: SW-3707-5131-3911
XBox: Kenjabish

Those two weeks where Switch sold 38k seem like a fluke. We're back to having another 50k+ week without any significant new software being released. Go Switch Go!

Thanks for posting the chart ShadowLink once again !
Another steady rise from the Switch and PS5. Don't know if any console are having some kind of sales to explain it.
But I do think the template of titles coming this Q3 has made the general public consciousness regain confidence in the Switch longevity as atge current platform and worth investing in.

Also quite funny to see AC coming back with such good sales because of the promotional events there.

Relatively good week for both the Switch and PS5 and the best week for the latter since its baseline heavily declined. Now to wait and see if the past couple weeks is just a blip or the start of the baseline increasing somewhat.

Wasn't there just one more guy available to buy an Xbox to get a nice round 2000 units?

Also, PS5 next week 5M sales (disc version only).
