Special enemies give a frog coin each, which wasn't a thing in the original.

Yes.

Special enemies give a frog coin each, which wasn't a thing in the original.

Plus the signal ring makes it a lot easier to find hidden boxes which often contain frog coins.

Yeah, they made Frog coins easier to get.

Its easier but I like it.

At this point in time , I dont want to farm/look for hidden chests for frog coins.

So the signal ring and the special enemies were a great addition imo.
