The Smurfs NES. Never talked about when it comes to great NES music. Might be because it was never released in America.
Just listen to some of these great tunes:
This plays during sneaking missions.
Best track in the game and it got a cover in Aria of Sorrow.
That soundtrack has quite a few bangers like this one.
I couldn't decide between these two so I put both in.
I'm not sure if these tracks qualifiy since those games are definitely not unheard of. But I picked them because they are either old or from games that are not all too blockbuster-like.
Archibald's Adventures music never gets old for me:
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.
From the top of my head:
The Swapper - Theme
Tiny Toon Adventure's: Montana's Movie Madness - Western Stage
ZombiU - Escape the Tower
Chase: Cold Case Investigations - Main Theme
Yu-Gi-Oh: The Eternal Duelist Soul - Seto Kaiba Duel
If you are only familiar with Kojima and his Metal Gear series at Konami. You will recognize this tune.
