When I said I hope we see the same level of care, I was more referring to the level of careful reworking of its graphics, where things were carefully trimmed and tuned rather than just slashing the resolution and settings until its a blurry mess, as we saw in a lot of Switch ports of 8th gen games.

I'd love to be wrong but rebirth will be 720p at 30 fps with reduced distance, shadows, lighting, crowd density, etc. I'll be stunned if square puts effort into the port.

Looks and runs a lot better than I was expecting given the early coverage of the trailers. 

Definitely a level above ambitious 8th Generation ports to Switch. Doom Eternal, for example, was pretty cheap (I think $5) when I got my Switch 2 so I bought it just to see how it runs, tried it yesterday, and the game is pretty much unplayeable in my opinion. And that is with Switch 2 enhancing the frame-rate and dynamic resolution. This is definitely a level above that.

I expected it to be A LOT worse. This doesn't look half bad all things considered.

According to GVG the demo was only allowed behind closed doors and no recording was allowed. Inside areas dropped below 30 fps and resolution often took a hit. Any idea if the game was updated since their preview?

That footage looks good to my eye, I am curious about where it's come from though. I.e is it faked (i.e PC running a custom low setup) and just someone trying to get clicks.

I saw some Switch button promts during gameplay (minus button for exemple). I don't think it's fake...

I didn't know it was coming out this week, that adds some context as to why 40mins of gameplay would be floating about on a random youtube channel
