Nintendo would know better than you or I what price point would benefit them most.

You insist that they'd be better off at $400, but your conclusion seems to be based on vibes rather than any actual evidence since we don't have the necessary data to make such a conclusion.

Like how Nin knew best with Wii U? Or MS with XB1? Or SNY with PS3?

Nothing to back it up? How's the reaction to SW2 been? Nothing but glee and positivity? Simply take my money memes galore?

Nintendo get it right more often than random forum goers do.

The "reactions" you're referring to are a storm in a teacup, just outrage culture doing its usual thing. No matter how good the Switch 2 was, the internet was always going to be flooded with negativity due to grifters and the ragebait economy.

You just keep reacting and adjusting after explaining how business supposedly works. Just like all these business decisions I've been pointing out that were poor and wrong that led to adjustments. Yet your point is that Nin is right and is doing what is right for their business. My point is that I think Nin got it a bit wrong, mostly just with some of the pricing. My point is based on what I feel is not only in the best interest of the gamers, but also Nin in the long run, and not selfishness.

I'd much rather see more SW2 units sold than SW1, vs only seeing around say, 100M sales, give or take. The more gamers the merrier, no?

Careful. Next someone might use a butthole company to make an opinion for them to tell you, you're wrong. Don't use logic or think for yourself. Either pull something out your ass or lett a butthole corp do it for you!

Well would you look at that. It all makes sense now.

PS1   - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.

PS2  - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.

PS3   - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.

PS4   - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.

You're making less and less sense and drifting further and further off topic.

What on Earth does this have to do with Switch 2 performance, or even the post you quoted?

Current state of Star Wars Outlaws in handheld mode. Already looks better than the game on Steam Deck. Performance still looks rough though.

vs Steam Deck.

To get it playable on Steam Deck you basically have to disable Ray Tracing (and therefore have no lighting system.)

I cant wait to see how better Pokemon Scarlet will be like on Switch 2.

This is likely docked Switch gameplay....

Regardless it looks much better than the Steam Deck gameplay.

but again.... its a sh*tty game, not big loss if it runs good or not.

I don't think it is docked gameplay. We've seen a trend in trailers that when overlayed with the handheld it is typically the handheld version. For example, when we were shown Mario Kart in January that was the case. The final reveal showed a much better looking version.

Star Wars Outlaws is quite a demanding game, hitting just 720p-1080p in performance mode on PS5/Series X, (and on Series S at 30fps) and 1134p-1620p in quality mode with dips.

It's one of those ports like say Kingdom Come Deliverance or Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 1 where on paper it looks like a bridge too far.

The footage shown here does look quite rough, but they have another 4 and a half months to polish and optimize it, so we'll see where we stand in September. As JRPGfan says, the game itself is lame so I won't be buying it either way, but it should be interesting from an academic perspective at least.
