i do not remember vgc being anywhere near this political back in, say, 2009. but you very well may be correct that it could just be there was way more gaming focused discussion that drowned out those topics. even still, its hard for me to believe there was this much political discourse going on back then.

I already spend more time at Reset. It is nice being to go to a videogame forum without the top threads being anti American nonsense.

vgc has definitely become a lot more political than in years past. personally, id like to see less of that featured on the front page, but it seems to be what gets people going around here (more than any other topic).

I think it's less about VGC becoming more political and more about how the world has been rapidly spinning the drain due to the resurgence of regressive, conservative policies that threaten to peel back layers of rights we've fought for over the past few decades, all matched with the nonsense wars and economical issues with international partners. 

The world is just more exposed to politics now. 

It doesn't help that the US has a goddamn clown in office.

Reset as in Resetera? The same Resetera where you're not even allowed mention Hogwarts Legacy or Cyberpunk 2077 cos the creators have said things that don't conform to far left ideology? Where they're celebrating Charlie Kirk's murder?
