I've seen some people complaining about the female characters of this game but really, have you seen Devil May Cry 5? Or Zelda, Mario, Resident Evil...

The thing is, Japan is like decades behind most of the West in gender equality and that reflects on the game, not because the developers are evil bigots but because they were raised in a certain way and it's hard to challenge the assumptions you've lived with most of your life.

I wish we had more of Benedikta or Jill but I doubt they'll do an Episode Jill DLC. I wouldn't want to touch that backstory with a ten-foot pole for obvious reasons.

Speaking of that...Is there fast travel/warp in the game?

I hated how I had to wait for the damn car to drive back to a location at times in FFXV.

Yes, you can fast travel

yeah, a pretty comprehensive one, too. And right from the get-go, too. 

Changing the Dodge (R1) button for the Dash button (O) makes the gameplay a lot better.

how do you do that? I tried but it also messed up all my other buttons too
