I've seen some people complaining about the female characters of this game but really, have you seen Devil May Cry 5? Or Zelda, Mario, Resident Evil...
The thing is, Japan is like decades behind most of the West in gender equality and that reflects on the game, not because the developers are evil bigots but because they were raised in a certain way and it's hard to challenge the assumptions you've lived with most of your life.
I wish we had more of Benedikta or Jill but I doubt they'll do an Episode Jill DLC. I wouldn't want to touch that backstory with a ten-foot pole for obvious reasons.
