Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Business Segment Meeting 2022 (PSVR2, PC sales numbers)

Sony Game and Network Services PDF

PSVR2 has sold 600k units, 8% ahead of PSVR1.

PS+ numbers:

8 million PS+ Premium subs
6.1 million PS+ Extra subs

PC numbers:

Spider-Man PC 1.5 million sales
The Last of Us Part 1 PC 368k sales.

600k is not very good, but not very bad either. If I'm not mistaken, PS VR1 sold around 5 million LT.

If they keep supporting PS VR2 with good releases, and availability, I can see it at least matching the original.

For sure VR2 definitely needs more high profile releases.

PSVita sold better so let's get a Vita 2!

Between GoT sales in Japan, PlayStation Plus tier breakdowns, and PSVR2 launch sales, Sony has been doing much better than expected in these metrics. I genuinely can't decide which one of these is the most surprising.

Impressive PS+ Extra/Premium numbers. PS Now merging with PS+ paid off.

Sony also shared sell-through figures for the PS5.

For those wondering VGChartz estimates for the PS5 at the end of March 2023 are currently just over 36M units. But below 36.1M units. It is possible PS5 is above the 36M sell-through figure from Sony at the end of March, but it just didn't reach 36.1M.

Props to Sony for providing some numbers even if they aren't the most mindblowing.

Looks like for FYQ1 ( April - June) They're estimating just over double the shipments of last FYQ1 which was 2.4 million so potentially another huge quarter of 5 million shipments.
