How is everyone's PS5 collection looking Physical or Digital?

Don't plan on buying any more PS5 games rest of 2024 but happy with the system so far. Not enthused with Sony's leadership but that's a different story. Normally 2 Jehuty's sit there but would block the games.

Nice collection.

My library is pretty much almost 100% digital.

The last physical game I bought was Final Fantasy XVI and that was over a year ago (across all platforms, not just PS5).

I'm curious about Lego Horizon, I still suspect Sony overestimate the Horizon IP & that the Lego format here is a bit missed opportunity that good be used to grow a more fitting & or underutilised IP.

Although I wouldn't describe Ratchet as underutilised I think it would of translated into more compelling game ideas + given Rift Apart a nice boost

Lego approached Sony about a Horizon Lego game.

I believe both pair very well, the machines becoming lego sets works excellent well for both brands, they fit perfectly.

They should stick with the partnership and keep trying until they can find what works best for it in the gaming space.

Rumor is Sony is in talks to buy Kadakawa. A media company that owns anime/manga and game studios like Fromsoft. So yay more monopoly.

Yeah, that's fair and I think the point remains. Sony matched their enthusiasm and it's not atypical for a pitch to be shot down or repurposed. I'll be curious to see how it does

I've said before that I'm not into the purchasing of companies that are multiplatform and making them exclusive, and I still believe in that.

But after all the shenanigans surrounding Activision, I guess if this news is true, and it goes through then so be it. I don't play games from any Kadokawa studios anyways.

Also, I imagine at the very least, the games will all come to PC and maybe Switch. Xbox... I'm sure it's possible depending on the IP.

Partnering with Lego I think is a good thing for Sony. I hope they can do something bigger for the next game.

Sony buyout of Kadokawa is on the board. It would be a megaton if it goes through.

Hmm. What other noteworthy studios/IP's does Kadokawa own?

On the gaming side, Elden Ring, Armored Core & Sekiro come to mind.
