Stock market manipulation? Trump's a little bitch? Who knows.

DOOCY: Why do you think the markets are so spooked? Do you think they don't like the tariffs?

TRUMP: Well a lot of them are globalist countries and companies that won't be doing as well because we're taken back things that have been taken from us many years ago

Dementia Don.

Trump's going to be adding tariffs, removing tariffs, for his entire term it seems, and doing literally nothing else, Lol. The markets love uncertainty and chaos! Canada should just say fuck off at this point and keep their tariffs on America, we can't be doing this insanity every single damn month, teach America a lesson.

New Zealand sacks ambassador to UK over remarks about President Trump. - AP

Phil Goff made these remarks in response to Trump restoring a bust of Winston Churchill to the Oval office, insinuating that Trump didn't understand Churchill or the history of WWII (which he doesn't.)  It's also worth nothing that New Zealand is heavily reliant on international trade and sanctions could be devastating to their economy, which is more fragile than, say, Australia's

"Speaking to the media on Thursday, New Zealand’s foreign minister Winston Peters said it was “seriously regrettable” that he had been forced to act over Goff’s remarks and would have done so had he made them about any other nation’s leader. Peters said Goff’s comments were 'disappointing' and made the envoy’s position 'untenable.'

“'When you’re in that position, you represent the views of the government and the policies of the day – you’re not able to free-think, you are the face of New Zealand,' he said."

At least the US is pushing the european stock market hard right now. Fresh records everywhere you look!

Fun fact: In 2012 when Brack Obama was president, Donald Trump stated that any president that lets the Dow Jones sink by 1.000 points on two consecutive days should immediately resign. Trump did not only achieve that. He actually managed to let the Dow Jones drop at least temporarily by over 2.000 points on one single day on tuesday. Amazing!

And with the US economy crashing down (GDP growth went from 2.5% to -2.7% within a month or so) due to Trump's policies and DOGE's actions, the US are now not in the best position anymore. They were beating the European economy mostly due to the greenback (as in, the US can print almost as much money as they want without devaluating their currency because it's the reserve currency of the world, and as a result, spend much more to support the economy without having to resort to borrowing), but Trump's policies have destroyed this advantage within just a couple weeks.

I'm sure he'll blame it all on Biden and say that he inherited the crash/recession from him.

Just to be clear, GDP growth did not drop from 2.5% to -2.7%. The -2.7% figure came from a projection from the Atlanta Fed, which a lot of economists have issues with. Other GDP projections exist over a wide range so we will have to wait a while until we see the actual data.

In my opinion, the main takeaway here is that there is a lot of uncertainty and chaos right now. Things could go a lot of different ways. We just saw today Trump roll back roughly half of his tariffs on Mexico and Canada. Tomorrow he could change his mind. No matter where we settle though, chaos and uncertainty are the enemies of investment. It is hard to make a decision with billions of dollars when you don't know what the economic situation will be in a week, not to mention in a couple years. That is a lot of what we are seeing in the markets right now, with them moving around pretty violently with every new piece of information.

I don't think anyone can really predict where we will land, because I don't think anyone can predict what is going to happen next. It is entirely possible that the effect on GDP and employment over the next few months will be fairly minimal, but I think the long-term harm is going to be significant.

Lol. There's a very obvious effort lately by Americans to try to push anti-abortion views in UK.

Anti-Abortion Religious Protesters Branded 'Disgusting' As Locals Confront Group

Texas-based 40 Days for Life confirmed it was holding a wave of demonstrations outside the hospital starting from today. The activity, which will take place every day from today until April 13, has been announced despite the new laws which were brought in to prevent such demonstrations near abortion clinics.

Six members of the group took part in the vigil on Wednesday, holding 40 Days for Life placards with messages such as "Choose life". They did not want to speak to the media, saying only "we are here to pray", as they stood at the junction of Shieldhall Road and Hardgate Road.

Keep your Christofascism to yourselves, UK better be vigilant at these American groups trying to cause trouble.

Gavin Newsom Asks Charlie Kirk to Give His Party 'Advice' In One-On-One Podcast Interview

Another moron, I always wasn't sure about Gavin running for President in 28 because while I thought he was a good attack dog, there is something about him which I really can't shake as untrustworthy, he always struck me as a career politician who would be out of touch with the average American or at least be seen like that but now he has fully convinced me that he is trash, Lol.

What the heck will it take for certain Democrats to learn that no matter how much they debase themselves to reach out, how much they compromise on their principles, it will never be enough for a large portion of Republicans to ever vote for them, especially not fucking Charlie Kirk's audience, apparently Harris bending over backwards to appeal to Republicans to the detriment of her Democrat base and still losing wasn't enough evidence.

And they definitely aren't going to line up behind Gavin-Fucking-Newsom, the Governor from California.

His first guest on his podcast show being Charlie Kirk is embarrassing.

SCOOP: House Democratic leadership is "very unhappy" with those who went beyond traditional protest tactics, such as outfit coordination and refusal to clap during Trump's speech to Congress.

Embarrassing. Trump is dismantling the country, doing god knows how many illegal acts, backstabbing allies, siding with Vladimir Putin, allowing Ukraine civilians to be slaughtered, threatening genocide on Gazans but Democrat Leadership is concerned about decorum during a speech by a fascist, but hey at least they held up signs, they're doing something!

Yeah, the entire Democrat Leadership needs to go, the entire party needs a refresh; Folk like AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Bernie Sanders, Al Green are doing more than half of these losers combined, they're actually fighting for their country, but don't worry, the Democrat Leadership are focusing on the important issues, like decorum during a speech.

How do Democrats expect people to get behind such cowardice? Why would anyone want to follow these useless idiots?

What should have happened after Al Green was removed was the next Democrat stand up and disrupt the speech, then the next one, then the next one, and force the Sgt in Arms to remove every single Democrat from the chamber as a show of unity and objection to Trump's bullshit, instead they'd rather let Al Green take the bullet alone.

Weak. Spineless. Complicit.

WASHINGTON — House Republicans can’t meet their own budget target that is necessary to pass President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda without making significant cuts to Medicare or Medicaid, the official budget scorekeeper confirmed Wednesday.

House Republicans adopted a budget blueprint last week that opens the door to pass Trump’s policy priorities on immigration, energy and taxes. It instructs the House Energy and Commerce Committee to cut spending under its jurisdiction by $880 billion.

That leaves Republicans in a deep predicament. The budget resolution, adopted by the slimmest of margins in the narrowly divided House, was the delicate product of negotiations among conservative hard-liners who demand steep spending cuts and swing-district GOP lawmakers who say they don’t want to slash funding for the health programs their constituents rely on.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says that the province will place a 25 per cent tariff on the electricity that it provides to 1.5 million homes and businesses in New York, Michigan and Minnesota as of Monday and could double the surcharge if the U.S. escalates its trade war with Canada.

"Unfortunately, President Trump has attacked our country and attacked our province economically so as of Monday we are putting a 25 per cent export tax, surcharge, whatever you want to call it. They are going to be paying 25 per cent more on their electricity in Minnesota, Michigan and New York and if it continues, the attack, I will up it to 50 per cent," Ford told Newstalk 1010.

Ontario won’t walk back retaliatory measures despite one-month tariff exemption for many Canadian goods

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Thursday offered a full-throated defense of the White House's position on tariffs, insisting that trade policy has to be about more than just getting low-priced items from other countries.

"Access to cheap goods is not the essence of the American dream," Bessent said during a speech to the Economic Club of New York. "The American Dream is rooted in the concept that any citizen can achieve prosperity, upward mobility, and economic security. For too long, the designers of multilateral trade deals have lost sight of this."

The remarks came with markets on edge over how far President Donald Trump will go in an effort to attain his goals on global commerce

President Donald Trump convened his Cabinet in person on Thursday to deliver a message: You're in charge of your departments, not Elon Musk.

According to two administration officials, Trump told top members of his administration that Musk was empowered to make recommendations to the departments but not to issue unilateral decisions on staffing and policy. Musk was also in the room.

A federal judge on Thursday reversed the firing of a National Labor Relations Board member by President Donald Trump, with a scathing ruling that said "an American president is not a king."

The ordered reinstating former NLRB chair Gwynne Wilcox came a month after she sued to be returned to the board.

"The President does not have the authority to terminate members of the National Labor Relations Board at will, and his attempt to fire plaintiff from her position on the Board was a blatant violation of the law," Judge Beryl Howell wrote in the order Thursday in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
