The USA's standing in the world has dropped hard. The collective stupidity of the country is baffling and keeps reaching new highs. It went from firing flight controllers that led to a bunch of accidents to firing up inflation that had been almost under complete control again. Then the USA became Russia's little bitch. We consider this shocking right now, but this isn't necessarily the summit yet, because this administration really is as stupid as all the people who voted for it.

Fun fact: In 2012 when Brack Obama was president, Donald Trump stated that any president that lets the Dow Jones sink by 1.000 points on two consecutive days should immediately resign. Trump did not only achieve that. He actually managed to let the Dow Jones drop at least temporarily by over 2.000 points on one single day on tuesday. Amazing!

Trump once again threatens Hamas, Palestinians with ‘hell’ in Gaza

Trump has called on Hamas to release “all” of the captives still in the territory immediately, or face “HELL”.

Trump has repeatedly made that threat before. In a new post on his social media platform Truth Social, he wrote, addressing Hamas, “‘Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you”.

“Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!” the president added. “I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a
single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.”

The comment appeared to follow Trump’s meeting with previously released captives. “This is your last warning!” he wrote. “For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”

US group decries ‘McCarthyite’ Senate hearings on Gaza protests

Palestine Legal, a Chicago-based advocacy group, says that the US Senate is engaging in a “McCarthyite witch-hunt” by holding hearings “targeting students and professors who speak out for Palestinian rights”.

The hearings took place in the US Senate Committee on the Judiciary, under the title “Stemming the Tide of Antisemitism in America”.

In a statement, Palestine Legal described the hearings as “another step towards implementing the Heritage Foundation’s Project Esther, a blueprint for destroying progressive movements beginning with the Palestinian rights movement”.

“It is imperative that universities refuse to cooperate with Trump’s efforts to silence and criminalise dissent, and end the McCarthyite crackdowns of students speaking out for Palestinian rights,” it added.

“McCarthyism” refers to US Senator Joseph McCarthy’s much-vilified campaign in the 1950s to expose communist sympathisers in the US.

Remembering Aaron Bushnell: How He Inspired People in the Military to Question U.S. Empire

We remember Aaron Bushnell, the U.S. Air Force member who died last year in an act of protest outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. On a live-streamed video, Bushnell said he could not be “complicit in genocide” while the United States continued to support Israel’s war on Gaza; he then set himself on fire, screaming “Free Palestine” until he collapsed.

Now just a year after Bushnell’s fatal self-immolation, we speak with an active-duty Air Force lieutenant who says she is inspired by Bushnell to seek a discharge from the military as a conscientious objector over the genocide in Gaza. “Any kind of contribution to the U.S. military inherently helps this machine of warfare and imperialism and oppression continue,” says Joy Metzler, who says many people in uniform suffer “moral injury” from their service.

We also speak with Levi Pierpont, a friend of Bushnell who says Bushnell’s death was “life-changing” for him. Pierpont has since visited Palestine and become a peace activist. “I went from being someone who had grown up Christian Zionist and was very sympathetic to Zionism to realizing how it’s interconnected with the American empire and realizing how we need to stand against it as Americans, because we’re implicated in it,” says Pierpont.

And with the US economy crashing down (GDP growth went from 2.5% to -2.7% within a month or so) due to Trump's policies and DOGE's actions, the US are now not in the best position anymore. They were beating the European economy mostly due to the greenback (as in, the US can print almost as much money as they want without devaluating their currency because it's the reserve currency of the world, and as a result, spend much more to support the economy without having to resort to borrowing), but Trump's policies have destroyed this advantage within just a couple weeks.
