Trump is about to do so much fucking harm to America's foreign relations, Lol. No allies America. So many countries will be driven into the arms of alternatives to America and China will likely be the biggest winner. I wish at this stage Mexico, Canada, EU, China, etc, all joined forces with joint retaliatory tariffs and increased trade with each other, on top of the retaliatory sanctions they're going to issue themselves, an alliance of countries working together to navigate America's upcoming fuckery.

EU needs to become more aggressive about protecting EU. On top of the retaliation sanctions they should do a complete ban on Twitter and Tesla from operating in Europe. Try to turn that Nazi prick against Trump. He's part of the Trump administration trying to harm Europe so he should suffer too. Ban all his shit. Hurt his billionaire friends where it hurts most, in their pockets. Everyone should hit back at America with no holding back.

In the UK, Trump and Musk are already considered unpopular figures, I only hope such isolationism and pure dickhead moves from America makes it become toxic to associate yourself with Trump and Musk which would impact the far-right parties in particular. It'd be a bit embarrassing for the Nazis in AfD to continue masturbating over Trump and Musk whilst they're actively trying to harm Germany for example. Europe needs to be independent of America anyway. But people do tend to get a bit defensive and patriotic when their country is being attack by another country, whether that be economically, diplomatically or militarily.

Did there use to be Trump supporters too in this thread? I've been following this thread only a bit and only recently, and there doesn't seem to be any Trump support here. I'm pretty sure I've seen some on this site before, but there's none of that to be seen here now.

Most just lurk and make the occasional snide driveby comment without any substance or support once in a while. The few that are actually willing to discuss and support their own views don't seem to last. Some get thread or permabanned for violating forum rules, some leave out of victim complex, some quietly shrink away because they realize they really are out of their depth, a few have left the site entirely and asked for their posts to be scrubbed from the site. I hope these people did so because they saw the error of their ways and are ashamed of some of their comments but who knows?

A lot of Trump supporters are having buyers remorse. When the economy collapses and unemployment is near double digits again, I can see them pulling a "I never supported Bush, anyway" like they did in the Great Recession.

They're not going anywhere and if some of them even have the balls to, they'll all crawl back to kiss the ring when they can't live without US subsidiary.

I think there's about 20 percent or so of the voting and polling block that won't ever disapprove of Trump on the whole. That being said, polling approval numbers in the high 20s to low 30s are pretty much an inevitability at this point unless the populace of the country takes a harder Pro-Trump shift than they already have.

I was wondering whether that was happening, which is at least a part of why I asked. Just for the record, I'm not convinced that's what necessarily going on here on VGC... but I don't really have a hard time imagining how some (former?) Trump supporters must be unhappy with a lot of what's Trump been actually doing. Undoubtedly many are happy too, but this has been pretty wild so far, to say the least, and it still has a lot of room to get even crazier once his loyal bootlickers are in place.

Guys like you always seem to think America is doing so much more for the world as anyone else while most of the time, you do much less compared to your GDP as most other countries.

You always just look at the total numbers and think that shows that others need to do more but that's obviously really stupid when you have a bigger economy with much more people as other developed countries.

When you look at Ukraine you don't realize that most EU countries do more considering the GDP. You also completely ignore how Europe helps millions of Refugees, you don't understand that your contribution for sovereign aid of the United Nations is/was much lower as that of many other countries and so on...

You just have Homer Simpson moments and are like "ohh we 50 billion, other country 20 billion so we better"

So America to stop aiding others does hurt the most because you simply have the biggest economy so that you can blackmail anyone else but that still doesn't mean that you have ever done as much as others looking at your GDP and polulation

But don't worry, even when countries will be weak and give Trump what he wants, it's Not about now but about the development over decades and countries like China will be the ones laughing when as example Africa's economy will get stronger and everyone in Africa will have a good picture of China but not USA
