Definitely not enough.

Fable has to be console exclusive. Senua should have been as well considering it was a new announcement.
That's the bare minimum.

They are doing it half assed. No one will get an Xbox to play Clockwork Revolution in 2027 (even though I think the game looks very promising).

SoD3, Senua and Spyro all weren't previously announced for PS5. They've just gone back to the case-by-case of a couple years ago. Zero clarity. TBH I don't think they have a clue what they're doing yet.

They need to stop releasing simultaneously on PC as well. If the higher-ups at Microsoft really care about getting hardware moving again, they need to put their whole chest in: Spyro, Clockwork, Halo, Fable, Senua, Gears ALL need to be Xbox only. If Microsoft did this, then we would really start to see a major shift in the industry marketshare.

Seems kinda odd to me and makes things even more confusing your never going to know what or if things will be console exclusive or on other platforms I don't think they will sell anyone new on a Xbox console like this or restore faith in long term customers.

Xbox is directly integrated with Windows. They literally have a service called Play Anywhere that allows you play your games on Xbox and the Xbox app on Windows lol.

Even Project Helix is Xbox and Windows merging into one.

Most they can do is pull from Steam.

That was a good show.

PlayStation looks wimpy by comparison, Microsoft has the perfect chance to regain hardware market share.

Right. Their hardware sales issues started before they were putting their games on PS5. The hardware wasn't selling which is why they started porting in the first place. Day One on pc was an issue also.

But they're never dropping PC and frankly now isn't the time for a renewed hardware push with the pricing issues. Helix being a very high end console is also a massive issue.

Unless they have a Series S successor in the works we haven't heard about I don't see Xbox hardware getting a significant installbase any time soon.

Launching hardware right now is a nightmare.

Let me help you all out, console exclusives on Xbox that ship has passed.  MS would have needed to make all of their games exclusive before it would make any difference and that isn't happening.  Not even sure why they waste time making 2 games exclusive to be honest. 98% of every game shown even from MS is coming to the PS5.  MS might as well settle into being a multiplatform publisher because trying to switch now just isn't going to work.

I think it's because they just don't have the Xbox Series hardware made for exclusives to sell. The multiplat stuff they already did killed Xbox Series sales (down to 2.5m last year from 7.4m in 2023), and because Xbox shrunk their production orders, their production partners all took other deals to fill that space, mainly for making parts for AI servers since AI demand is way up. Now that their production partners have all taken these lucrative AI deals, it's costly to get Xbox Series production orders back up again, so they're mainly just selling through remaining warehouse stock at this point, plus whatever few they are still making (like the limited 25th Anniversary console they showed today). They figure Gears E-Day and Clockwork are enough to get that remaining warehouse stock and the few they are still making sold.

I do think Asha sent a fairly clear message today that next-gen will be mainly back to console exclusivity though. I don't think we will ever see the really big stuff that was multiplat before acquisition like CoD and TES 6 and Doom console exclusive to Project Helix, but Halo, Gears, Forza, and most everything smaller probably will be console exclusive next gen.
