It was, gears looked good and I finally got my new Spyro game. Hoping they do it justice.
Unfortunately Crazy Taxi did not inspire me with confidence lol.

SoD3, Senua and Spyro all weren't previously announced for PS5. They've just gone back to the case-by-case of a couple years ago. Zero clarity. TBH I don't think they have a clue what they're doing yet. |
No, they have a clue, its just not what you will like. As I had stated before, MS is playing games but they have moved totally into a PC ecosystem. The next Xbox will be a PC and play PC games. MS is no longer a console OEM but they want to pretend they are until they release their next device.

What exactly was it about crazy taxi that didn't look and feel like the old game. If anything it felt very much like crazy taxi but then again, I never was all that into the game it was always just alright to me.
Was hoping to see Jet Set Radio reboot, but Crazy Taxi looked like classic arcade fun to me!
Great showcase. 8.5/10 for me!
Gears and Clockwork being exclusive does feel like a reactionary move and makes the future seem confusing on that front. Either way, Gears looks great and when I saw that 12 player horde mode.....lost my mind!!!
May get that 25th anniversary Series X25! We need more transparent tech!!!

SoD3 was expected, Senua not and Spyro is from Activision they are not allowed to have it as an exclusive.
In general, how are they going to sell Xbox consoles when their is barely any stock and making a ton of them is crazy expensive?
We went from Sarah: All is going to be multiplatform, to Asha: Introducing console exclusives for some titles again but I would not be surprised that just like Gears the next Halo game ends up being console exclusive again.
Gears is a perfect choice Btw it literally was the franchise that boosted Xbox 360 sales while basically at that point expected to be a dead console soon..

| Zippy6 said: Right. Their hardware sales issues started before they were putting their games on PS5. The hardware wasn't selling which is why they started porting in the first place. Day One on pc was an issue also. But they're never dropping PC and frankly now isn't the time for a renewed hardware push with the pricing issues. Helix being a very high end console is also a massive issue. Unless they have a Series S successor in the works we haven't heard about I don't see Xbox hardware getting a significant installbase any time soon. Launching hardware right now is a nightmare. |
Unfortunately, you may be right about a renewed hardware push not being the wisest decision at the moment. Phil did kinda screw Xbox over by setting Helix as the next generation via prepping software which demands a powerful system. If I were Sharma right now, I'd be looking at what Nintendo is doing, and trying my best to replicate: blue-ocean hardware and software is essential right now. Honestly either delay or abanone Helix IMO. If Sony wants to sell a premium product, then they can do that, but there will exist a market of consumers that'll take an XBSXS and say that's good enough.

It's going to be a Gaas title.

What makes you say that? The only thing they signed binding contracts for was CoD. Pretty sure I'd they want to make any other Activision game exclusive they absolutely can.
Anyway, that was a great show, 9/10 for me
Clockwork was the star of the show, it looked excellent. Gears E-Day looks great, that new CoD DMZ mode looks cool, Crazy Taxi was great. Persona 6 day one Gamepass is huge, P5 sold 10m+ afterall, making this a bigger gamepass deal than any Xbox has got from Sega previously.
Halo looks good but the new voice for Johnson was extremely off-putting for me. I really hate that David Scully retired from voice acting so young, he is only 51. I found the new voice so off-putting in fact, that I will seriously consider playing the PC version with a mod that returns David Scully's original Halo 1 lines where they exist
