As irrational as it may sound, I'll probably get an Xbox One this year.
I don't want the original model. It's bulky and has a bulky AC adapter. I don't want the S All-Digital because it's too limiting.
So that leaves the S or X. I know many of you will say to just get a Series X or S. But Series X is usually $400-$500, and Series S is usually $220-$300.
I see Xbox One S consoles for $80-$150 a lot, and Xbox One X for $120-$250.
I have a PS5, so it's not like I have nothing in the current gen. I also have no interest in a Gaming PC right now.
I'm leaning towards the One X because despite the higher cost it is a lot more powerful than a One S and sometimes still cheaper than a Series S.

You'll actually still be able to play current-gen games that you may be interested in on your Xbox One via xCloud.

So if you're interested in Hellblade 2 or Indiana Jones, you won't need a Series X/S or a Gaming PC to enjoy them.

Yes. That and some other things.

I played an Xbox 360 in my teens somewhat but got my own in December and I like it.

With an Xbox One, I could

-Play select Xbox and Xbox 360 games with better fidelity.

-Play first-party Xbox One games that I don't have access to on other consoles and don't want to buy and optimize on PC.

-Play third-party games that aren't on PlayStation. There's not a lot of them, but they exist.

I fiddled with some settings for Disneyland Adventures on PC and I'm not fully satisfied. It's a cloud title, so it's in my library and my progress will carry over to play on Xbox One.

Fallout TV Show

So wait, Fallout 76 on consoles require a subscription to Xbox Live or PS+ to play it? Seriously?

There is single player content, but in the same vain of something like Destiny. You'll be coming across other players. Light MMO aspects. But IIRC, you can be killed by other players lol

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Star Wars Outlaws doesn’t look terrible (considering it’s a Ubislop game) I’ll get it once the ultimate edition is £14.99 in late September.
