Really enjoyed my time with High on Life! Another great game pass gem. Humor worked for me, but I can see how it could get annoying for others. Loved how they included full movies into the game. Gameplay feels really good and the guns all ooze personality. Some of the levels feel a little drawn out and could have used a less is more approach. Sucks I missed out on so much dialogue from the other guns.

Biggest issue now is that a few of my cheevos are glitched. Main forum is locked off, and a few others sadly. Why I never usually play games day one. Not going to knock this off though.

I give High on Life an 8/10! It’s hilarious, over the top, and surprisingly addicting combat. The open levels are more akin to The Outer Worlds, but just a bit smaller. I was afraid the type of comedy Justin Roiland is known for would’ve overstayed its welcome, but I think they hit the sweet spot! Definitely a game worth experiencing! Can’t say it isn’t a breath of fresh air in the FPS genre

Also, I like that you can literally spend hours watching full length movies early 90s B-movies but still a ton of fun to watch! 

Hopefully by the time I get around to High On Life the buggy jeevs have been patched, will probably make it one of my January games. Finished the main campaign in Dragon Age Inquisition, time for mop up before the DLC and that'll be it for what's been a pretty fun replay of the trilogy done.

Ys 10 announced, no Xbox release yet again. Phil badly needs to court these remaining JRPG devs that still aren't on Gamepass, Nihon Falcom, Gust, and a few others.

Statement from AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler on the FTC decision to sue to block Microsoft–Activision Blizzard deal:

It’s disappointing that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is suing to block the Microsoft–Activision Blizzard deal that would create a stronger company and protect consumers by empowering workers. With any merger, there are many factors to assess, but the needs of workers should always be taken into account. When workers are able to stand together, it creates a culture of checks and balances within a company that ultimately benefits consumers and the general public. 

The proposed acquisition by Microsoft would give Activision Blizzard workers the freedom to join a union through employer neutrality, empowering them to build a stronger company and serve as a check to unethical corporate practices—a win for both workers and consumers.

Each corporate merger must be assessed on its merits and consider the impact on workers. Despite this action by the FTC, we’re confident a federal judge will side with the Communications Workers of America, the European Commission and countless others who support this deal so that video game workers are finally given the chance to improve their lives and create a stronger company by having a union on the job.

AFL-CIO is the largest federation of unions in America, it consists of 56 national and international unions and has over 12 million members.

After playing High On Life, I can see why this game is getting reviews all over the board. Humor is always an acquired taste. One person greatest comedic another is trash. I personally sit in the middle of Rick and Morty humor where its either hot or cold to me. I cannot get into much about the game just yet since I have not played it enough but so far, the Avoid from Eurogamers seems pretty harsh. I wonder if that reviewer would change with the patch and ability to tone down the chatter from the weapons.

Falcom needs to get over this hate b*ner for Xbox.

High on Life tv shows are hilarious in the most ridiculous way. Definitely watch them if you haven't. It's basically interdimensional cable from Rick and Morty.
