Forums - Gaming - Discussion Thread – The 13th Annual Greatest Games Event

Well, I languished over my ranking as usual, but finally submitted my list.

Hint time!

#50 - The hero of this game would fit right in with Namflow and Nietsneknarf.

#49 - In this shoot-'em-up you can actually capture each stage's mini-boss and get it to fight on your side.

#48 - Going by its prequel and sequel, you'd link this game's subtitle would be Cyrodiil.

#47 - Speaking of subtitles, I can't think of a better one for this game, considering the feeling you experience when hunted by killer robots.

#46 - If you mentioned this game to someone born after 2000, they'd probably think of the wrong sequel, which was a timed Xbox One/Xbox 360 exclusive.

- Challenging, highly regarded old school Zelda-like that was exclusive to one of Nintendo’s rivals.
- Based on previous guesses - it was released during a generation after Golden Axe Warrior, after Beyond Oasis, and before Okami.
- ,Although this got a sequel, this series never expanded beyond the platform it originally appeared on. This particular game was made available digitally on later platforms from the same console manufacturer though.

#45
- If you fancy gifting something to one of the ladies you've met, you’ll have to make sure you get change from the owner when you get the chance. Who you'll be gifting it to will be dependent on if it's a new game or new game+.
- What was the likelihood that all these people with ties to each other would be in the same place at the same time?
- And what was the likelihood that our protagonist would solve everyone's problems in under 24 hours?

#44
- Who knew flatulence could be such a versatile tool?

#43
- One of several iterations of an iconic game that saw the playable roster double from the number found in the original.

43 - This game features a couple minor vehicles, which you'll use in a supporting role next to the primary vehicles, which are sometimes based off cars and vans from real-life TV shows.
Hint 2: They look like how they look in the shows too, like the orange car from "The Dukes of Hazard" and the black van with a red stripe from "The A-Team".
Hint 3: There's more of those secondary vehicles, which you'll have to use to get yourself from place to place, from construction vehicle to construction vehicle, too though, like trains and cranes.
Hint 4: Those construction vehicles (you know, a bulldozer, a dump truck) however are actually used for destruction instead.

Oh, #43 is absolutely Blast Corps :P

Obviously!

And then this one is The Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

Alright falling a bit behind, but here's the next batch of hints:

45) Didn't win a ton of GOTY awards, but it certainly dominated one "award show"

44) They are making a movie based on this series which I have quite low expectations of, but it's not the one you're thinking of

43) You can use certain weapons to get slightly more "air distance", allowing you to reach places you couldn't otherwise (probaby quite obscure, but true)

42) A licensed game based on a character with many faces

41) You are your own worst enemy... Until you aren't

44 - Gran Turismo?

Nope. Didn't even know they were making a Gran Turismo movie.

This movie was announced several years ago, but as far as I know there still hasn't been a trailer.
